I have a BX24 that has an intermittent problem with the safety switch system. Runs and moves great for 10 or 15 minutes and then suddenly dies. I move the hydrostatic pedal back to neutral and it starts right up and may move again for maybe several minutes and then stop again or may quit instantly as soon as I touch the pedal. As I use it, it stops more often. I can fiddle with the switches and eventually can move it without it dying. Always starts and runs but eventually I can’t move it without it dying.

I have replaced all of the safety switches (seat, pto and pedal switches). They appear to be adjusted properly. Not sure what’s going on. Does anyone have any ideas?

Try to move the seat switch more or tie it into the run position and see if that is the problem. It seems to be a common complaint and solution for your situation. Seat may not be moving far enough to always activate the switch, tractor thinks seat is empty and shuts down.

If that keeps it running then fix the switch to be more firmly activated.

Agree with @Russell King most likely seat switch or wiring to it. Thats where i would focus
Agree. I had some issues with my seat switch.

Switch was fine, just wasn't making contact. Switch configurations vary.

Tractor didn't "know" I wasn't in the seat.

Thanks. Used a wood shim and duct tape on the bottom of the seat to push the seat switch down a little further. Works so far but raining here so cannot properly test.
