Thanks to all who helped me solve my Battery/Starter Helper Relay problem. Now that the tractor starts when I turn the key, I was planning on using a rotary cutter to clean up several fields that have went untouched for a number of years. As I was checking out the PTO and 3 point hitch, noticed that the original PTO guard is missing. Checked the Kubota online parts catalog, there definitely was one, Kubota part # H3250-25470 PROTECTOR, PTO, it's showing discontinued. Would there be any aftermarket options? Any place to look for used parts like this?

Funny, that was the very first thing that I removed from my (then) brand new tractor! Different model, smaller but it's somewhere in the shed. Makes hooking up the PTO a real PITA that I didn't want to deal with day in and day out.

I treat the PTO as super dangerous and will not get off the tractor without stopping the PTO. There is no excuse for anyone to get anywhere near the PTO when it's running.

If there were anyone young kids around here, it might be a different story but I can handle the "danger" of not having the shield in the way.

You're not the first person who has told me that. The Messick's salesman who sold me the Woods 5ft. Brush Bull said the same thing. I borrowed a neighbor's implement a couple times, I never gave it a thought either, just happened see a picture with the guard in place after I made my purchase. Based on the fact that I came up empty so far tells me many people have done the same.
