That trailer is awesome! In Kubota orange too!

The red tractor is also amazing, but bloody Canadians .... always wanting to add an A to everything! 😂 I don't think you have a big enough muffler on that McCormick.
It's not A, it's eh 😆.

The lower part is a spark arrester. Dad usually runs it with no muffler. I didn't have a wrench to take it off so I jammed the muffler on top. The best of both worlds.

Rear remotes sure would of been nice. I wonder if there is some type of kit I could run something off of the pto?

Kubota BX was delivered this afternoon. Original plan was just downsizing from a NH to the Kubota. Similar implements. Just a FEL bucket, rear PTO snowblower, and added the grapple claw. Dealer noted my 7ft back blade is a bit on the too large size for the BX. Added a lightly used Land Pride 60". Dealer gave me credit for the 7footer. What I paid for it in '01. Then... spotted a lightly used Land Pride 48" box scraper. Might as well. Trails need a bit of leveling. Next loads of gravel for my relatively long driveway will get some box blade time. Then ... spotted a treasure. Vassar dirt bucket. Fair price. Add to the sale.

Ended up with a "full load" on a large trailer. 12 ft wide driveway ~900 ft from the township road to garage with two too tight curves for the trailer. Back and forth with the implements. Then back down with old blue with the Loftness snowblower and the BX transporting the 7 footer.

Too small a garage. But enough space to park the BX with the box blade and grapple attached alongside of the snowblower. Bucket, back blade, and dirt bucket will be sitting on the old pallets outside. Of course I initially positioned the snowblower on the wrong side of the bay. Got to practice using the QH system. Looked at the hour meter. ~2hrs of just moving implements around.

Two old habits to lose. Brake pedal is on the opposite side. Did hit the forward pedal a couple times thinking "brake". End result was the same. Stopped going backwards. Just didn't plan for the forward jerk. Accelerator lever is opposite to the NH. Ended up reducing speed instead of increasing a few times.

hooked up the little 42" Kubota tiller and turned over the neighbor's garden for him. It's not huge, maybe 30 ' x 40'. As nice of a neighbor as he is, he's kind of not helpful at times. The garden has two rows of electric fence wire on T posts, really easy to pull down on one side. He all but refuses to open up but one small section so I can get the tractor in the garden instead of opening up one whole side... But I guess if that's my biggest complaint, it's not so bad. After that helped the wife with the little one and then back outside to jump on the Scag and mow about an acre and a half, the 15" LED bar cam in really handy for the last half as the sun had set.

We had some decent weather today so I decided to do a little more work with the tractor today. I feel proud of myself reclaiming some land that I can utilize. For so many years this spot was completely overgrown.

Next task is to get rid of the trees there and going to be renting a stump grinder soon so I'll be able to get rid of them then.

I think the tractor is becoming quite a handy tool to have around.

N.Y,
Looks like fireseason is finally over and above freezing temps here to stay. Moved the leftover firewood back to next year's stack. Turned out perfect planning and only had one load leftover from 12 face cords we started with. Love global warming because we used to use 15 to 18 face cords. Snowing 2 days ago and 72 degrees today.

I think that this guy takes the cake on how to remove brush... the video is a real eye opener

I'm sure some of you have seen it but it's worth a refresher in case you forgot.

I'd be worried about a broken fan blade or a hole in the radiator with to much of that.

Start of a long weekend. Not much gravel to work with. Got 200 tons of millings coming in the morning. I'm the point guy on this project for those of us that live off this easement. 👀

Had something funny happen today. When I was doing a little bit of work with the tractor, ok maybe I was having a bit of fun..not really work! Anyways I needed both the pallet forks and the bucket today and when I was done, I tried "gently" sliding the bucket off the forks and she just didn't wanna slide off so I tried giving it a little bit of encouragement by giving it a little shake and it came off all right...upside down 🤣🤣🤣

At least the bucket isn't terrible heavy I was able to just roll it back over by hand.

I put another video together just for fun. Nothing crazy, just getting in plenty of practice and having fun!

I'm sure people will ask....that is not my shed. It's my neighbor's who doesn't want to pay me to side it for her 😂

Just getting acquainted with the BX. The feel for the 3 pt is "different" than OldBlue. Need to set the speed low to develop a better touch. At least on day 2 my brain has adapted to the opposite direction of the throttle lever and brake on the opposite side. Ground is a bit on the soft side. Spring and a heavy rainfall couple nights ago. Bit of practice with the box scraper filling in the depression the resulted from soil settling after removing a stump last summer. Practice using the grapple claw moving couple small piles of branches into one.

Original plan was to mount the Heavy Hitch 2" receiver onto the trailer hitch platform. Someone in Georgia I think over torqued the four bolts holding the factor ball mount plate. 3/4" nuts. Tried removing using a 1/2" ratchet wrench. No go. Moved up to the 18" adjustable (aka Crescent) wrench. No go. Sure hope they are not left hand threaded?

Poked a few holes with the 9" auger.

In for quick lunch break. Digging post holes the "old school way". My luck with the 15-20% pitch I would roll my new BX.

Just putting up a new veggie garden fence. Only ~144 linear feet of fencing. Then I can take down the ~500 linear feet of fence surrounding the house that use to protect the veggie gardens. Black bear issue the past few Springs. Leaving the bird feeders up one night too long. Black bears never exit the same hole in the fence they enter. Sad looking "fence". Just me. Don't need the larger garden.
