3.3 inches of rain in past 2 days.
Not much run off, the ground soak most of it up. My tanks barely got any water in them.

Does that mean he has an automatic transmission?
That horse and 1 cowboy with 2 Border Collies was able to move 200 head of cattle.

The cowboy was able to cut the bulls out of the herd and seperate them before the cows entered the lanes. The bulls are leased for 90 days at $1500(they would cost over $10k to purchase one) they run 15 bulls on the ranch. Very efficient operation, why feed 15 bulls for 9 months out of the year when their work is done in 3 months.

Obviously a highly-skilled cowboy, horse and Border Collies - -Wow!

For them to get 200 head (and 800 legs) to go where you want is admirable.

I saw something recently on RFDTV about an operation that leases bulls. That was their primary business. Was in the "west," don't recall where.

I think the rancher said they leased 900 (?) bulls out....

Was astounded by the magnitude.:oops:

Lot of Dairymen in the northeast use AI. Some used to run a Jersey bull with heifers on summer pasture for small first calves. Now, some will breed to Angus so the first-calf bulls have some beef value. Seldom saw a Holstein bull on the farm, although some did keep them.

I made an offer yesterday to pick up another 13 acre farm next to me. It's probably the last track of land next to mine that I could ever buy for a very long time. 2 neighbors have houses built and the other neighbor, 325ac track, 6th Generation ranch owner with a big house and shops etc. The other 300 plus acres owned by the South Texas Childrens Home(Baptist).

Honestly I should probably be buying a summer home up near @McMXi
Update:

Still in the works, title company lawer was out last week, he is expected to look over and verify her probate documents today/tomorrow.

I'm not use to those moisture numbers. The clouds the came through here last weekend (and a rain the Wed. before) left 5". Water running everywhere. Wife said Easter Sunday she was glad to get the yard mowed between the rains or we'd need to bale it!

I burned 10 acres a while back and it's as green a it gets. A bit warmer soil temperatures and it will really take off.

Haven't mowed the yard this year. I did have the cows out on it twice so far.
I have only mowed TWICE since last June.

I probably need to drain the gas on the ZTR.
