I have a Kubota B2400 HST and I noticed yesterday that hydraulic fluid was leaking from behind the plastic that’s underneath the steering wheel. Anyone experienced this issue yet. Thanks

Issue with the power steering or lines associated with it?

Could be power steering unit itself or the lines for it. If it is a 1999 model it shouls have the gen3 steering box which typically doesn't have much problems. The gen1 and gen2 were known for inner seal leaks (not the dust seal at the top). Also they are known to leak where the lines go into the steering box.

yeah take the dash and pedestal off. Ain't very hard, just a bunch of plastic and a few screws holding it all together. Underneath there are a set of hard lines, and then in FRONT of the steering there is a rubber return hose that often cracks/breaks and leaks. Bottom, center of the steering, and fair warning: it's a little bit of a bear to get to.

Im having a problem with fluid leaking from the steering shaft seal on my power steering unit. I believe that it is a gen 1 or 2. Im not getting anywhere trying to get this repaired, would a gen 3 steering box fit in place of the gen 1 or 2 steering box? A new gen 3 box is $3000 but my b2400 is still in great shape with less that 1000 hours on it?

Gen 3 will work. It all bolts on only thing is the joint at the top is bigger so you have to get that and i believe the upper shaft also. I do have a good used steering gearbox (not gen 3) available
