Most wouldn’t have stopped when you did, myself included. I’d make it a little worse then call it. Lol.
Well....I've certainly done the same thing a time or two. All of my vehicles are capable 4wd and most have winches on them (for self recovery and other).

Were I still 20 something years old, without doubt....I would have spent more time using just the tractor to 'unstick' myself.

But at 70 yrs old I've learned to use wisdom and prudence more than when I was a younger man.

Anyway, got the tractor out just fine, with only a marginal wound to my pride and bit of wasted time for my poor decision making.

Another day in Deep East Texas.

Nice area, I went to college in Nacogdoches, '80-'85... (although, probably not considered "Deep East Texas")
^^^^^

Nacogdoches is very much Deep East Texas.

Coincidentally, my property being about 15 miles East of 'Nac'.

My Daughter is also a Graduate of 'SFA'. Small world, sometimes.

If the clutch housing is under water (looks like it might not be) pull the drain on the clutch housing.
If any water comes out get a big can of WS40 and spray it in the hole with the engine running to circulate it all around in the, then let it drain again.
Is WS40 the super stuff??? 😬😬😬😬
