As far the DEX has if somebody dumped him, that’s their loss and his gain if he landed with people who care. If he ran off there was probably a reason. I have not see GSDs range out like a hunting dog does.

According to the people who captured him, he had been sitting by the side of the interstate for more than a day. He's a big dog at around 95lb.

Oh my….What A holes that left him…as if its so easy to accidentally miss a 95lb GSD (I wonder same thing when I see people’s shoes / boots on the road - how do you miss that?)…maybe there was a legitimate reason, but it’s good DEX found a home before someone mistook for coyote/coydog or farmer found him running their stock looking for food. I bet DEX will appreciate the good people that took him in.

He's been with them for three weeks now and is a sweetheart. The Malinois is thrilled to have a wrestling buddy. She's too much for the retrievers but Dex is a good match for her. This is his home now. I might need to get dumped by the side of I90.

Could you ask if they would be interested to take in a two legged dawg that will work for food and hunting rights and happy to be on call for on site security as needed (has own ‘tools’ for the job)?

As for security I think all is good. My friend has more firearms than a gunshop, is very competent with them, and now has a big German Shepherd to work along side his Malinois who is a scary dog for anyone wishing ill will!

As for security I think all is good. My friend has more firearms than a gunshop, is very competent with them, and now has a big German Shepherd to work along side his Malinois who is a scary dog for anyone wishing ill will!

Malinois are really cool dogs and what I was wanting to get into breeding but with having teenage twins and their friends always coming over, I was hesitant to get this breed. Went the total opposite direction and picked a dog that would lick you to death.

At about 3pm, we head inside for some housework like empty dishwasher, dinner prep, etc.

Picture was 2:45pm .Geddy’s saying “time to go inside for my nap. I’m tired.”

He’s had a very busy day.

My Heeler mix spent much of the day at the vet yesterday for x-rays and blood work which in combination with some meds cost close to $800. She's been quite lame recently and has been having monthly Librela shots with the third one administered last week. She has significant arthritis in both front elbows and some ACL issues in her knees. She was a rescue of unknown age back in February of 2016 and I would estimate that she was around 2 to 3 years old at that time. Since I've had her coming up on 9 years she's probably 11 or 12 years old.

She is such a good but stubborn little (40lb) dog who loves to ride in the truck but doesn't like having her photo taken. At this stage the objective is to make her as comfortable as possible for as long as possible.

Our Shepherd has been doing well on the Librela shot. She's been on it for about a year now.

For Halloween, the Mrs. is running a 5k as Snow White.

We have one of the Seven Dwarfs in the making……he runs 5k almost daily with mom and I think has done 10k (?) few times.

No he didn’t vote but did wait in the truck while Dad voted.

Figure that warranted a sticker.

And then he rested…..Civic Responsibility obviously weighed heavily on him.

They're quite a pair......Geddy's role as one of the Dwarfs was "Happy."
