I got everything ordered and installed the valve! I had to make a bracket and shorten the handle, but I can now access it from the right cover like it apparently is on some models. Now hope it works!

The included diagram and also the diagram from the first post show how the piping goes to the oil cooler. These are all connected with hose clamps, so the return from the mower needs to be really low pressure then.

Thank you, i need to see if the rental company also agrees with this. I included a page from the WSM (I only have the mechanical chapter), it has a diagram showing the service port is last in line, so basically after the service port it returns straight to tank. I don't know if that changes...
