WIf I had one on my lawn tractor, the front lip on my mower deck wouldn't have dents from the occasional encounter with roots.

WI installed one on my LandPride finish mower when I received it, and I haven't seen any evidence that it has had any effect since then.

WWhat is the purpose of the front roller on a FDR finish mower? Mine did not come with one and I am wondering what benefit it provides?
