Oil pressure low, V1505. Over fill and aeration.

Yep. My L2501 gets 5 quarts on the oil change, not the 6 listed as “oil capacity” in the owners manual. Sits right in the happy medium that way.

    Thread sealant that works

I’ve never had NPT threads leak using the cheapest pipe dope off the shelf at my local ace hardware…

    Thread sealant that works

I have yet to come across a hydraulic fitting leak where the type of thread sealant was to blame. It’s likely fittings that are mismatched, or fittings that are not supposed to have dope on them at all.

It’s none of my business what you do behind closed doors.

    L3540 Cold Weather Oil

No, it will not. Modern synthetic 5w-40’s are incredibly high quality oils. Our entire fleet of diesels have made the transition to 5w-40 year round in recent years. It’s especially handy on equipment that only gets an annual oil change, but see temperature swings like you are talking about.

5w-40 is the way to go.

A HST oil change gone wrong, what would you do?

Wait until you find out how much “old” ATF is left in an automotive transmission during a fluid change… He is fine. 89.3% New fluid isn’t going to hurt anything.

I bought plastic ramps from harbor freight 20 years ago. Don’t gotta worry about them caving in either. ABS =\= Bad.

With the size of the rear tires, the drop would be negligible by the time they cam over and drop to the ramps.

Budget you say? Plastic ramps, a 2x4 cut in half, and one ratchet strap sounds pretty budget friendly to me.

Had a hydraulic dovetail trailer at the last company I worked at, and man that was the cats pajamas for loading & unloading. Also made it a breeze to install hydraulic jacks, since there was a handy system to tap off already. Expensive as hell, but worth every penny when it’s not my dime!

Plastic ramps will get it done for ya. Drive up the ramps till the tires hit that 7” height difference, lift front axle with the loader, and drive up. You can put down chunks of 2x4 on the trailer deck where you’ll be sliding the loader if you’re worried about keeping it pristine.

API Classifications General Question - No EGR vs External EGR

CJ-4 has been long superseded by CK-4 oils to the point where I’m not aware of any strictly CJ-4 options? Kubota makes it needlessly complicated in the manual, but you can run essentially any off the shelf HDDEO in the appropriate viscosity. Happy hunting.
