Can't recall the hours where mine went. But when it did, I replaced it since warranty would have required me to take it in. They are stingy on the lube at whatever company makes them. I gave it a good slathering of motorcycle cable lubricant. It's been a while and doing fine.

Finished up everything I could do with the tractor this morning. Driveway surface needs some attention with a shovel now. Carted all the tools, generator, paint, etc back in the bucket. I really need to buy a battery circular saw! That will have to wait until after I install the Ghost opener...

Hmm…. I don’t remember seeing an indication in the manual to check those. I never have! What is the spec for torque on those?

If I’d have bought the clamp on edge tamers (legit brand) I wouldn’t even take off the tooth bar at all. Mulch, dirt, gravel…… I leave it on. I built a loop to the driveway a couple years ago. Layed down the base 4” aggregate and reclaimed asphalt with the bar on.

We have a lot of really hard rock. Don’t know what it’s called, but there is a quarry 8 miles away. It is used for driveways, concrete and asphalt mix. Thata a BXpanded tooth bar. I’m pretty happy with it. I’ve only taken it off for snow removal.

Punched one hole and set a post after work today. I’ll hang the 16’ gate tomorrow and set another two. Didn’t get as deep as I wanted to so I’ll set a post behind this one and brace it to prevent sag. The 2501 will push a 18” bit till you hit rock and really hard pack clay 34” down. 😬

The trucks without a front LSD (non Tremor package) don’t experience the grinding noise. There was a crossover year (2023) when Ford implemented the fixed hub on all trucks including some Tremor optioned trucks. That’s where the “replace with selectable hub” came from. With no LSD in the front...

Sounds like internet scare tactics. I’d like to see some real world data on temperatures above 140 “cutting the life in half”. Call me a skeptic….

I voted 2 doors. You have to decide for yourself, but it would be a hard sell for the cost of a custom single. The price ain’t worth the beans. Now, or if / when you need something fixed or replaced. One massive door will probably mean a commercial service company. We went 16x10. Readily...
