Well first off, this is not the first time he bent a rod... Second he seems bound and determined to run it til it blows a rod out of the side of the block this time... I'm just looking for an option that can bolt up to the transmission fairly easily, the other problems can be dealt with.

My Dad has a M5700 which has a bent rod from either starts....Ya I know. There seems not to be any used F2803 engines available, so I was wondering if there is a swap option? He has a cab model with gear/ shuttle shift 4x4 if that matters. Thanks in advance.

Had what you described happen to a unit at work last week. Traced it to a bad contactor, replaced and gtg. Another unit was similar this week but it turned out to be the temp control unit.

I find it funny that Messicks sold a guy with a B2301 a 6' sickle bar which seems to be more moving parts than a regular sickle mower, when the manual even says 5' is max.
