    L5030 overheating

Yeah coolant tends to keep engine cooler than plain water, not only does it have a higher boiling point, but it is "wetter" as in it makes better contact with the hot metal and transfers the heat from the metal to the coolant better/faster ...

    Lawn correction implement

I agree, a rototiller, add a land plane, then a roller ... Add grass seed at the end ...

    Second-guessing my L4060 LE purchase

My first gut reaction is skip the L6060, and look at a MX or M ... Even those with the same 60 HP, will be a much more rugged tractor, not sure if you can get a HST in the M ... What type of "land clearing" do you have in mind?

    What size tractor?

From the OP ... I know the original question is about a brush hog ... But then ... If the OP already had a 6'+ brush, sure, go ahead and use it ... When I first bought this place I didn't have a lawnmower, so used my brush hog ... But it wasn't the best tool for the job, but kept the grass...

    What size tractor?

I have a 60" commercial Z-turn, it's great for my 1.5 acre lawn, and just OK for my front 6 acre "use to be a hayfield", but my side and back pasture are quite rough with rocks, so I didn't use it for that ... This is what my ground is like, too many rocks to want to rototill! I used to use...

    Filter Prices

I'm not home now, so can't take pictures ... However I'd be highly surprised to see that ALL Official Kubota brand filters (or parts) are made in Japan ... I do know that some of my OEM brand/sourced filters (and parts) for both my Massey Ferguson and John Deere are made all over the world...

Is it safe to flip backhoe hoses?

My take on the two different set up of the controls, never heard of them refered to a Deere though, either ISO & SAE or Excavator & Backhoe ... Anyhow ... When I was considering a Mini-X ... I was planning on running that in ISO mode, and keep my SAE on my TLB (which doesn't offer a choice) ...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Is that a W123? I use to have a 1982, loved that car!

Over heated trans on a Kubota BX25D

Well ... If this is correct ... Then the filter gasket is probably the weakest link ...

BX23 with bacteria clogged fuel tank

Once "clean" I'd also give it a good "rinse" with good ol' gasoline ... That also will kill of the little microbes ... For some reason they like diesel, but not gasoline ... Rinse again with diesel if you want, but I'd rather take the time to remove the tank, than cut a hole in it! If you...

    Flail Mower

A 5' brush hog should be plenty for that! And a third the price if you find a good used one.

    Filter Prices

I didn't buy a air filter, as it had a new one in it (IIRC it's actually two, an inner and outer) But here are some prices from last year ...
