glow plugs not working right. starter solenoid is either bad ?, or not getting enough voltage from battery?. have the battery load tested.

if you are getting a '' clicking '' sound when turning key to start ?, then its not a safety switch, this is somewhere with your battery being bad ?, or starter bad ?, or bad starter solenoid ?. maybe a lose , bad ground ?.

i'll chime in as well, right along with everyone else above^^^^, the pto lever is not quite in the correct spot to start your tractor. it does indeed have a safety switch on the pto lever that is keeping you from cranking it over. move the pto lever back and forth a little as you turn the key...

that is a roll pin, a small drift punch and hammer will knock it out.

i used a extension, u-joint, socket to get that pesky bolt/nut off my b2100 solenoid shut-off. you are deff right, its a pain to get to !.

would it have been better to mount the top link cylinder where the lines/fittings would be on the top instead of the bottom ?, this way it would give you more room for the lines.

looked up old bb, some were made with the flap like this one, they were made by rino from what i seen.

i don't have hydro tilt on my b2100, but i did purchase a landpride qh cat 1 for it, night and day difference in hooking up attachments, but man...it sure as heck wasn't cheap !..lol.
