Thread tape, thread sealant, or ????

I asked a similar question recently. Lots of choices/opinions. I used Rectum-sealer for my “shop air” ongoing, never ending, always changing project. I have no idea if it’s “the best” or not. But it seems to work plenty good. I was not concerned with “mil specs” nor “aviation...

Help with working on a slope

Send me your address, and I will come over and try to “grow" some for you. Rest assured, there wont be a living Cholla for miles when I’m done “gardening" ;) :ROFLMAO:

    SSQA Linear Actuator

I like that Dan. It’s fast and looks sturdy! Now if I was thinking about doing that, 2 questions come to mind initially. 1. Is the "extended length" of that cylinder what stops the cylinder from damaging the levers? Or is there some sort of “over pressure” built into the circuit? 2. What...

    Occasional trailer-use risks (forgetfulness)

Glad everything worked out for you! One thing I will mention about those “rear jack stands” is that you need to account for the “squattting” of the trailer when you set them up. If not, when you load the trailer, you can’t get them out, or remove the pins, cause they are trapped underneath...

    Taters in the garden

The saying around our place, for any gardening activity, is………... “If it grows………….we can kill it";)

    SSQA Linear Actuator

Pics would be great. In that video though, I do not see the actuator attached to anything. It kind of “floats” in the middle, first unlocking the right side, then unlocking the left. I have never played with one of those actuators before, but here is my initial thought. If the actuator was...

    USPS is messed up!!!

I have had good/bad experiences with all the “Big Players” at some point and time. I will say this though, percentage wise, I think they do ok. I order the vast majority of what I buy, so our delivery guys are at my doorstep often…..very often……. Hell, I might try to claim our “Amazon guy”...

Hydraulic top link as snow plow angle actuator?

I think it’s a great idea. I also think a “generic cylinder” would be a less expensive route as well. (unless you already have one…..obviously;))

    SSQA Linear Actuator

Love it my man! I have plans to do something similar. In my head, the actuator needed to be fixed (via a bracket or something)….but apparently not. Just "thinking outloud” here…….I wonder if affixing the actuator would speed things up?

    Heater for hydraulic fluid?

OK. Not 100% sure what that means. Maybe I’m reading it wrong. Not sure how putting a car in D, and applying the foot brake is any different than putting it in D and applying the parking brake? Maybe in 1965, TC’s worked differently, but not to my knowledge. 🤷‍♂️
