Thank You for your response. Just to clarify: the motor oil that I drained was black, while oil in the motor oil filter was clear. I thought that maybe I had confused the motor oil filter with the HST filter, but that wasn't the case. I've absolutely confirmed that it is the motor oil filter...

Just changed oil and filter in my new 2380. Oil from drain pan was pretty black. Oil in filter was very clean. Is this normal?
