That's odd that it won't rotate into "top" even with the deck off. Usually the deck is what hangs on the ramp to prevent it from turning. You'll have to get under there with a flashlight and see what's up. With the deck off does the knob spin easily and then hit a hard stop, or is it hard...

I'm in SE Texas too and the humidity is hell on the close tolerance steel on steel fitments. For example the ROPS is frozen solid on both my tractor and mower. I've given up trying to bang them loose.

Those disposable aluminum roasting pans are low profile and available everywhere for cheap. I've used them many times for oil changes on low vehicles

I've had good luck with lanolin based products like fluid-film. You definitely need air flow/ventilation to keep the humidity down. Putting a cover over the equipment often makes it worse in my experience.

A quick, temporary fix might be to unhook the fuel line at the filter and blow air back up into the tank.

Personally I would try lugbolt's suggestion first. If you can't get it moving with the punch, then try center punching and running a left hand drill bit at the lowest speed you can with a lot of pressure. A drill press makes this a lot easier. Either way, I would remove the spindle shaft...

That's true... I would try jacking up the rear and seeing if you can spin the wheels then. Maybe the bypass lever isn't fully opening? These have hydro gear transmissions so there should be a lot of info online for troubleshooting

Even with the bypass levers engaged that's still a 900lb. machine. I wouldn't expect to push it around very easily.
