Very much appreciated everyone. Thank you. I am going to try this trick today. Thinking maybe using a 4' piece of 1"pvc straight up out of the filler hole to prevent oil coming up my dirty vaccuum hose and then draining back in. I cant imagine my shop vac lifting the oil higher than that.

I am wondering, the exact same thing. Seems ridiculous to drain all the oil just to change the filter. Especially at $10 a liter now. Please can you tell me did this work for you applying negative pressure?
