M7060 - Sudden & complete loss of loader/3pt/remote hydraulics, but PS and Transmission still function?

Yep, agreed as well. I appreciate all the help tracking this down. The bigger hurdle for someone new to the hydraulic system is probably familiarization, versus troubleshooting the particular failure point and mode. I'm going to add a bit more around this point to your hydraulics basics thread.

M7060 - Sudden & complete loss of loader/3pt/remote hydraulics, but PS and Transmission still function?

Just realized something in hindsight that may help others who read this and have a similar issue. I noted in an earlier post the following: So what was happening here is that when I keyed the tractor OFF, electricity acted faster to change the state of the solenoid valve than the hydraulic...

M7060 - Sudden & complete loss of loader/3pt/remote hydraulics, but PS and Transmission still function?

Ok - found out the culprit - not sure exactly what functionally is happening yet. But when I unplug this connector from the 3rd function valve, viola - hydraulics are fully functional again. I'll look through the manual in a minute but figured I'd get this posted up first. EDIT: Ok, so it's...

M7060 - Sudden & complete loss of loader/3pt/remote hydraulics, but PS and Transmission still function?

IT'S NOT THE PUMP!!! WOOHOO!!! I disconnected the line from the pump to the 3rd function valve and dumped it straight into a plastic jug, since I didn't have the proper fittings to hook up my test rig to it (why can't they just use one common size!?). As soon as I started the tractor, fluid...

M7060 - Sudden & complete loss of loader/3pt/remote hydraulics, but PS and Transmission still function?

I have the OEM Kubota LA1154 3rd function kit, so my lines should follow the below schematic. I highlighted the route from the pump (I think!). Does that 3rd Function Valve body have its own relief ahead of the loader control valve???? Or some other bypass? Could something there have failed? I...

M7060 - Sudden & complete loss of loader/3pt/remote hydraulics, but PS and Transmission still function?

Alright - an update...looking for some more input from those with more knowledge base than I. Dan / @TheOldHokie was kind enough to build me an inline pressure/flow test rig - basically a flow control valve and pressure gauge on a block and tee fitting. Thanks Dan! I hooked up the test rig...

    Kubota Hydraulic Info and Q/A

Thanks for starting this thread! I'm at the level of learning the very basics here as well, so I'll make a post at that level which may be useful for others. After reading through the first post here a couple of times, I found it REALLY useful to just pull out the WSM manual view of my loader...

M7060 - Sudden & complete loss of loader/3pt/remote hydraulics, but PS and Transmission still function?

Dan - would love that. I'm here to learn as well as to ultimately (hopefully...) diagnose and fix. I gathered the couple of parts to build the ag fitting pressure tester I mentioned in my first post by the same means - I saw a few posts here where people were using the same setup to diagnose...

M7060 - Sudden & complete loss of loader/3pt/remote hydraulics, but PS and Transmission still function?

Hey - it's never a true boondoggle unless you start resorting to banging things with a hammer!! :) Yeah, it probably makes sense to at least give it a quick try. I found some posts just now talking about shock loads to the hydraulic system resulting in failed relief valves and complete loss of...

M7060 - Sudden & complete loss of loader/3pt/remote hydraulics, but PS and Transmission still function?

I chatted with a tech at the local dealer today, he was pretty helpful but we sort of ended up at a dead end. I did gather from the conversation and follow-ups just now studying the hydraulic circuit diagrams that whatever shaft runs the hydraulic pump for the power steering, also runs the...

M7060 - Sudden & complete loss of loader/3pt/remote hydraulics, but PS and Transmission still function?

Ha, shows what I know about these tractors! If you stopped me and asked me what gear I was in, I'd have to say "Bunny 3" or "Turle 1" like I was a toddler :)

M7060 - Sudden & complete loss of loader/3pt/remote hydraulics, but PS and Transmission still function?

Also, the parts diagram makes it look like the relief valve (#160) is on the loader control valve, but the WSM seems to show it back by the remotes? Is that correct? When i look at my loader control valve I don't see anything at the location shown in the parts diagram that would correspond with...

M7060 - Sudden & complete loss of loader/3pt/remote hydraulics, but PS and Transmission still function?

Ok - figured out where the loader control valve is, looks like it is model M7996 as you guessed. Yeah, $250 isn't exactly cheap. So can you go over it again, is there something I can do to check the state of the relief valve? Also, I read up and think the answer is no, but are there any global...

M7060 - Sudden & complete loss of loader/3pt/remote hydraulics, but PS and Transmission still function?

Dan - standard valve. How easy is it to just replace the loader control valve, and any chance you can point me to the appropriate exploded parts diagram and a part number? I'd like to start familiarizing myself with the components...
