Running a BX Without Ballast is No Joke

The misalignment on the ROPS in the the vertical axis, not horizontal. Tightening or loosening the adjusters has no effect on it.

New BX2380 ROPS pin holes not lining up

I actually mention this in a video I posted on Thursday. I got a lot of responses from folks who have the same issue. I also got a lot of responses to simply adjust the knobs on the ROPS. The problem is not the knobs which compensate for lateral movement. It’s a misalignment vertically.

BX Folks: Looking For Photos of Your Destroyed Hydro Fan

I'm putting together a video that mentions the tendency to destroy the hydraulic cooling fan, and am looking for some photos to include, since I haven't grenaded mine yet. If you have any you wouldn't mind me using, feel free to post them below, along with how you'd like them credited in the...

Running a BX Without Ballast is No Joke

That’s why I am guessing the ballast bucket for the BX recommends 350lbs, to keep from overloading the front seals.

Haha! You're being too kind with that 100lb guestimate!

Running a BX Without Ballast is No Joke

Went out to move some larger rocks that I have dug out of the driveway over the years, and got a few into the bucket that I knew were at or just below what the max lifting capacity is at stock hydraulic pressure. Yes, I know running without ballast is a dumb idea but I kept the bucket low (max...

2 Years In - Thoughts On Our BX2380

This might be a little low level for some of the more well versed tractor heads out there, but we've had our BX2380 for almost 2 years now, and I decided to put a review video up on the channel. For anyone in the forum looking at a BX, see how it's played out for us. https://youtu.be/CPPUhmR8-58

    Anyone planting garlic?

You should be able to drop them in the ground and they will grow. With garlic, spring or fall planted, I like to pull them when the tops begin to turn brown. With a spring planted garlic, I will cook with whatever bulbs formed, but reserve the largest cloves to go back in the ground that fall...

There’s Something About Running the Tractor at Night...

I never even thought to throw my moto helmet on when it’s really cold and blustery! That’s genius.

There’s Something About Running the Tractor at Night...

It wasn’t too cold last night. Maybe 40° and I had my wool on. It was pretty nice. When it’s below freezing, no way.

There’s Something About Running the Tractor at Night...

Timing of the storm and work yesterday dictated that I cleaned up in the evening after the sun had gone down. Normally, I try to get things done in daylight, but I spent some good time last night in the island of light that the ROPS lights throw. At one point, I just killed the engine and sat in...

    Chainsaw mount SawHaul

I’ve seen these and I’m not a fan of the lack of support on the saw. I feel like if you really want to carry your saw like this, outside the wheels is asking for disaster, especially if you’re in a wooded area. Saws aren’t designed to be stored like that, especially while in motion.

BX 4 point front hitch ?

What was said above. It will lift the front wheels no problem if you let it, but I can’t really think of an implement where you’d want to.

More Snow in the Northeast = More Seat Time with the BX2822 Blower

They are actually in Lopatcong, NJ, just over the border from Easton.
