I have not seen nor taken the course, but the county extension here in NY offers a tractor safety course through the 4H. https://ulster.cce.cornell.edu/events/2020/03/24/4-h-tractor-safety-program

    Landpride RG10 grapple

I use the SGC1060 on my LX2610SU. It is heavy at almost 400 pounds but it is great for roots and rocks. The only issue with the weight is that it limits how much I can lift with it.

    Your Battery Maintainer/Charger choice?

i have a Battery Tender and several Tender JRs. I use them on smaller batteries on my motorcycles, ATV's and lawnmowers to keep the batteries charged during the idle season. I also keep one on my Miata, which doesn't get used in the winter, and my Kubota when I expect it to be idle for more than...

    Kubota Service Insurance

Like you, I am inclined to do my own repairs. I always decline the extended warranty or whatever they call it when I make a purchase. However, when I bought my LX2610 I opted for the Kubota zero percent financing, and that required that I buy the KTAC insurance. Even with the additional cost of...

    Daily Chuckle

I have actually done something similar to that plug to connect my generator to the house service panel in an emergency. In order to be sure that I didn't feed the grid I switched off the main breaker in the service panel. Since then I have hardwired a receptacle for the generator that goes...

    Bx to B01 or lx2620

I paid $1000, for a LP third function installed on my LX2610 when I bought the tractor new from the dealer. That was over four years ago. So, $1500 seems a little high, but not too out of line. On the other hand, you can probably install one for a lot less if you want to do it yourself.

    European Hornets

We have both yellow jackets and carpenter bees in my yard. I caught most of the carpenter bees in a sticky trap this summer, but my six year old grandson found a nest of yellow jackets before I did and he got a half dozen stings. He was very brave about it, but avoids anything that looks like a...

    Dry well (I think) help

I agree with the Wolfman, those pipes are simply intended to run the water away from the house and were probably daylighted when first installed, or should have been. That looks like a lot of water pressure so either you have a big roof or quite a grade from the house to the end of the pipes. If...

    hotmail

AI is only as good as the data that it uses to generate the information you request. Very little of that data is verified as true and accurate.

    hotmail

I don't use hotmail, but Bmyers is offering indispensable advice. Do not fill out any forms that are sent to you and do not provide any information in response to their request. They are most likely scammers trying to get some information from you that they can either sell or use to access other...

    Grapple question.

I use a SGC1060 on my LX2610. It is heavy, but works very well for clearing brush and moving logs and rocks.

    Social Security changes???

As OldMachinist said, direct deposit is the way to go. I didn't realize that the SSA even mailed checks any more.

    WHO DID IT!

It was probably me. I took my snow plow off Friday. Even if I get a couple inches of white stuff at this point it will go away by itself.

Should moderators be elected by membership?

    1) I don't understand why anyone would want to be a moderator on an internet forum. It is a lot of work and the only reward is that you help keep the forum running smoothly. I realize that it needs to be done and I appreciate those who are willing to take it on. 2) If there was a serious...

    Suggestions for a wood floor.

I did my floors in wide hickory boards. The boards are 12 inches wide and have tongue and groove. If I were to do it over I would use narrow boards because the wide boards shrink in the winter and leave gaps between the boards. Narrow boards would still do this, but the gaps would be much...
