I need to add some trans/hydraulic oil to my MX6000....
any reason why I should avoid Tractor Supply premium trans hydraulic?
The Kubota UDT2 is a lot more expensive... any real difference? Thx
someone mentioned this is transmission / hydraulic oil... can anyone confirm which level I should be keeping an eye on and exactly what oil I should use? Thx
not bad on small stuff but this might be a bit more than my old neck and back can handle...
I cleaned it off real good to see where it is coming from. I wasnt lucky enough for it to be the little drain plug there
Can someone help me out in diagnosing what kind of leak / issue I have?
There is oil collecting on the bottom of the gear box cover on the rear right side...
Please see pics. I'm not sure if that is gear oil, or hydraulic oil, can I get some suggestions on what to check from here?
I'm able to...
I suppose adding a hydraulic cylinder
Thanks so much for that detail... I guess im cheap, I dont want to spend 12K on a new cutter that does this, I would spend 6-8k though...I would love to see some pics of what you did... a buddy of mine suggested the same type of thing, that it would be...
Good question.... I have about 15 acres of clover and a pull behind cuts it much lower / shorter than what I am after... I keep my clover high, like 12" and just clip the tops... in a 3 pt., i cant support the rear of the cutter and when it bounces around I don't get a clean and level cut...
I'm looking for something like a 7 or 8' cutting width... just looking for options of who makes them... all I have been able to find so far is Landpride... thanks!
Does anyone know of a rotary cutter that fits to a 3 pt but has hydraulic rear adjustment with dual wheels?
I know Landpride makes one but they are really proud of it...
Any other brands I should look at? Its mostly for cutting clover fields so doesn't need to be overkill. Thanks
Thanks for the quick responses gentlemen... I was hoping there was an easy FEL style solution here to avoid tracking over my clover before cutting it... im guessing not.... back to looking at 3 pt. and pull behind rotary cutters I guess
I have been looking at flail mowers to potentially get away from a rotary cutter...
Does anyone know if there is a front mounted option for the MX6000?
I don't know much about this stuff yet so wondering if it has to be driven by a PTO, or is hydraulic only an option?
I ask because it would...
Would love to hear from you re: your opinions after trying it out... i take the videos on their site with a grain of salt, of course they will say its fantastic... looking for real world insight on this before I pull the trigger, thanks!
