What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I did my end of year service, cleaned air filters, replaced oil filter and engine oil. Put the back hoe back on for only the third time. I'm getting better, under an hour this time. I also built a dolly for the BH77 so next time I can drop it on the dolly and store it in an out of the way...

    New Guy Question

Here's a view of where the pin should go on a BH77. taken from the seat looking back. I would hate to just have a lynch or cotter pen keeping the hoe from falling off.

    B3300 quit running

Mud, that's advice I'll take to heart from now on. I'm closer to the freeway station than any other but a friend owns the BP where I get the over the road diesel. And I always try to support the local guy, though not much of his income comes from fuel sales. But I sure don't need to take chances...

    B3300 quit running

I talked to a neighbor who uses the orange and he said his son has a B series. His son changes fuel filters like he checks the oil, constantly. They think the plastic fuel tank condensates more easily. I happened to have a spare fuel filter so I changed that. Surprise, the old filter had a lot...

    B3300 quit running

Dumped a can of fuel in and 5 gallons brought me up pretty full on a 10 gallon tank. No improvement. Too late and I'm too tired for tonight, but tomorrow I'll start checking out fuel flow. Of course it had to happen about a mile from the house, and a long hot walk did me no good. Still under...

    B3300 quit running

Yep, gauge reads almost half, and I see fuel. It sure does seem like a fuel issue.

    B3300 quit running

Working on the trails today, clearing brush and dragging it clean, when my Kubota quit running. I was pulling a backblade in low gear 4wd at about 2K RPM when the tractor dropped to about 800 RPM and started sputtering. All gauges show normal, she turns over but I can't get more than that same...

Who do you let drive your tractor (unsupervised)?

I haven't had mine a year, yet, so no one but me so far. Trying to get the wife to be comfortable on it, but she's not showing a lot of interest. I'm working for some nearby close friends for free to get my experience up. Since I'm recently retired, I have enough time to help some people out...

    New Purchase

BH77 runs closer to $8K with the subframe and a bucket factored in. I've got that exact tractor, bought used last December. I think that's a reasonable price. Is this a pre DPF tractor? They are maybe harder to find. Search this forum for plenty of DPF discussions.

What is the clutch for on an HST tractor?

I've got a B series and agree with TKM. Clutch is used when shifting between ranges, 2-4 wheel drive, and for PTO on/off. Mine stays in 4 wheel most of the time unless I have to drive on pavement.

    Lesson Learned

The operating manual for my B3300 recommends against ballast in the rear tires during backhoe operations. Don't know if that applies to a BX, but something to consider if you're looking for more counterweight.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Thanks D2, we've had it in my buddy's auto shop for 2-3 weeks lubing the heck out of it with the best penetrating fluid he's got. Its spinning almost 90 degrees each way now and the plan is to use for a while and loosen it all up before doing anything else.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Hey, I finaly have something to post to this thread. As a Kubota novice, I finally took the backhoe off my B3300su. It went pretty easily, hopefully the reinstall will do as well. I've had the tractor since the first of the year, and besides moving some dirt and snow, I've only been practicing...

    Looking at buying a FEL/Backhoe

I have a BH77 on my B3300su and its definitely a subframe mount. Goes on and off very easily to allow for using three point attachments. List price is close to $9K for the BH77 and subframe. Mine's new and the weather has just gotten good enough to start using it, so I can't give it a review...

    B2650 vs. 3350

It all depends on your intended uses for it. The B3350 obviously has more power and who doesn't need that? It will also have a slightly larger frame and weigh more. If you're using it to mow and push some snow, the B2650 may be fine. I was advised to buy a little more tractor than you think you...
