Kubota f2100e starting to have clutch issue

Reading my manual page by page and I think there are supposed to be 2 of those pilot bearings. 1 on the end of the crankshaft that's held in place by the oil seal. The other in the flywheel. Gonna try to attach two pics grabbed off Messicks: Number 120 in this pic is not shown with an oil seal...

Kubota f2100e starting to have clutch issue

Hmmm. I hopped over to Messicks and I think it's being held in by an oil seal. Part number: 09400-14247 . That's not a part I ordered. So is the pilot bearing supposed to be in that far? Or are there supposed to be two of them? One in the crank and one in thee flywheel?

Kubota f2100e starting to have clutch issue

I am busy cleaning all the surfaces while waiting for parts to arrive. And I can't see how to remove the pilot bushing/bearing. Is it supposed to be mounted inside the flywheel? Or inside the end of the crankshaft? It is currently mounted inside the end of the crankshaft. I am able to get a pick...

Kubota f2100e starting to have clutch issue

Well I got the clutch out and on a bench yesterday. Attaching a few pics so folks here can see the condition. pretty worn. 3 of the 4 springs were laying in the flywheel center once clutch was out. I don't think they were bouncing around in there. They just fell out as I was loosening the...

Kubota f2100e starting to have clutch issue

Hey Idaho or anyone else, I shortened the clutch rod a bit and it made no difference. So I am gonna split the machine and replace the clutch. Have never done a Kubota clutch, but have done a couple on other larger machines. I have a manual, but am not a fan of the minimal instruction it offers...

Kubota f2100e starting to have clutch issue

I was also wondering about shortening the clutch rod. With it adjusted all the way in, there are still an inch of threads showing on both sides of the turnbuckle.

Thanks Wolfman, although not what I wanted to hear. How hard is it to split and do a clutch on this machine?

Kubota f2100e starting to have clutch issue

Fairly recent purchase about a year ago. Great machine. Recently starting to have a problem adjusting clutch. It was starting to grind a bit engaging the deck blades. Adjusted it to spec from manual. Worked great for next session of mowing. Went out to drive it again today and same problem. I...

Charge light is newly lit on f2100E

Thanks Jay and King. I'll see if I can spend a minute with it tomorrow to start to diagnose.

Charge light is newly lit on f2100E

Charge light at the top by the header. 2 wires. 1 goes to the fuel/temp which only the fuel is functional so far. Took a bit to get that working. The other heads off to the presence controller and the oil switch.

Charge light is newly lit on f2100E

Hello OT Forum, New to me in November f2100E. Still under 600 hours. New battery. Trying to figure out newly lit charge light. Stays on while driving and mowing. If I check voltage at the battery, while running it registers 14.5 volts. I did have the gauges out of the display working on the...

What brings a hydrostatic trans back to neutral? F2100 mower

Thanks Wolfman. I'll revisit the linkages and grease again! I see a couple of places that can allow adjusting on your diagram. Maybe over the holidays I can make time to see if they are reachable and adjustable. Cheers!

New (to me) F2100. Question about the headlight on the steering column

I got all 6 bolts out finally> I was missing the 2 at the top of the column. I was able to tip the entire column back but only a bit. I could see that a previous owner had done a bit of disassembly and left the inner portion of the headlight minus bulb just dangling in there. Once I saw that I...
