I removed it from my b2601. The peg that holds it in place kept breaking. I never remove the FEL. Now on my l2502, the system is manual but seems pretty good. I never tried to remove the FEL but I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem

I ended up building my own. I'm not sure how long the tines will hold but this is made with all stuff I had on hand, so free.

I forgot to say I also own a box blade. I can use it as a rake but it's not great. I'd rather rake first, and then do a pass with the box to smooth everything after.

Problem solved. I ended up installing a garage door opener. Now it pulls the door all the way up. Expensive solution but it has the added benefit of being remote controlled now. No need to get off the tractor after pulling out of the garage. Am I the only one with a garage door remote on his...

That's what I'm thinking. If I push on the door, I can see the cable being rolled up more on the pulley. So if I add more tension to the spring then it should work. Or maybe I should just buy an opener and install it myself. I could adjust it to pull the door a bit more.

I should have mentioned I don't have an opener. I have a bit less than 24" available from the ceiling. So it does sound like I could get it extended higher. So it means adding rail extensions and also moving the spring further up right? So that would be about 2h job for a contractor?
