    Mistery rock bucket

So far so good. It's heavy duty, good quality. It did a good job picking up logs. I also had a mix of sand and paving stone to screen. It was the right tool. The real test will be the abuse it will endure next summer digging up rocks from the field. But it's already time to start gearing up...

    Mistery rock bucket

I just got this new rock bucket. I found it on kijiji in the ottawa area. Once I contacted the owner, I found out it was actually a company that has a warehouse in montreal and toronto. The bucket is 1250$. I have not seen anything under 2000$ anywhere. So that was suspicious. The owner told...

Take my money! I want it. But I guess you're in US? Shipping to Canada would be a pain

Interesting. I'll have to consider this then. I'll update my design

Gonna try this out it the field today with my blade. I left the bolts in just to protect the threads, but they are not holding anything. If that works, then it should be a quick and easy solution

The caps wont work because no matter the rotation, the hole is blocked by the casing of the tractor. I tried doing a very rough prototype. There is little room to slide and extend. Also, it would need to be welded very precisely, otherwise it doesn't slide if there is the slighest angle

exactly. but I wanna keep my original pegs in case I need to revert back. A new set is 50$ CAD. So I might just make my own with steel rods and square tubing. That's cool by the way. those drawings are nice.

There will be the pto and the hitch in the way. But that can be solved easily. I might try something today after work

Or instead of welding on a new pair of pins, could I use a rod of mild steel attached to square tubing that slide into each other with a hole to lock it? Would mild steel be an issue for the 3ph attachment points?

Haha. I'm gonna call my dealer to see how much another set costs. And I'll get a turnbuckle. I'll keep the thread updated

We could weld a turnbuckle on both pegs.

Or maybe just some kind of long bar that pushes both pegs against each other

All good ideas. Any chance you can build those and ship it to me ;) ? But why put a hole lenghtwise? I was thing something that is threaded and then smooth on 1cm. So you would bolt this thing in, and then slide the part in. You would need a hole across the diameter to lock the part.
