I use 1.5" on my BX2200 and it only leaves less than 1" clearance between the rear deck and the deck wheel on the left side. I've not tried it using my turf tires yet. Almost forgot to add that I've really have not noticed a dramatic improvement in stability.
those old G series mowers were notorious for electrical problems. Maybe not so well publicized but the rest of the tractor is great, it's almost always electrical stuff that goes south on them
these require 12v to run (electric lift pump). They'll theoretically run without it but you'd have to...
I log on to look at new posts, get on the first one then can't see the next until I refresh....then everything scrolls down to the bottom of the page???Very annoying....I really am not logging on here much because of this.
We had a good amount of wind here in SE Pa but, it worked to my benefit.....took down three dead ash tress that I was going to cut down....saved me the trouble. Sometimes mother nature just helps out.
I would not use Loctite....it will make the bolts harder to remove when that bracket breaks again....and it will. Ask me how I know. Just buy a large SS hose clamp and Gorilla tape and be done with it.
