I'll be interested to see what my concealed carry renewals look like next time. I know one state would deny you for drug use. Another stated "illegal drugs" but now weed is legal there. The third one I can't remember if there was a question or not.
This legalization thing is sorta a win for us independents/ libertarians. The feds have no business telling the states what to do in this case. Just like they had no business making the drinking age 21. Alas, when they decided to withhold federal highway funds (the money they took from people in the states to begin with) from states that had a drinking age <21, things quickly changed.

I don’t have a problem with the drinking age being 21…. After all, the states have representation in the Congress that decides such things…and 18 yr olds can vote on it. Also, if a state needs highways built…they should have a way to pay for it other than making other people pay for it thru federal funding (people from Other States also contributed to the taxation…and They have a right to vote on how and where it’s spent.)

You can’t complain about folks who “suck on the federal teat” in one discussion…. then complain in a different one that the federal milk ain’t flowing to You. ;)

It's not about that at all. Maybe you missed it? It's about that pesky 10th Amendment 😉 The feral government simply cannot legally make such a law. So, they decided to withhold money that came from the people, and refuse to give the leftovers back to the people after they took out a portion to feed the largest US employer that produces nothing. I'm ok with the drinking age being 21 too, but I don't at all like why it is.
And yes, I actually can complain about both. The fact that I literally receive a negative return on my tax dollar? Yeah, I certainly can complain about that. Those that don't get upset by it should maybe pay extra taxes or not take exemptions. Then they can pay a bit more.

I have always felt that there should be an age of “adulthood” that is standardized. At that age (whatever it is), a person is legally responsible for their own actions and legal agreements, can do military service, and buy alcohol or any other age controlled substance. I have always believed it is wrong for someone to be old enough for military service, legally responsible for their actions, but cannot buy a beer.

I have a problem with the 21 to drink age. Back in the day I could drink at 18 BUT, the draft was also a very real issue. You can kill for US ,but, you can not drink is just stupid. Raise the selective service age to 21 and then tell me about being an adult !
Funny, but I was in bars well before 18 but did not smoke until sometime after !

Have not touched it since pre-1982 when I joined the Army. When I did smoke it, you could of mistaken me for Cheech & Chongs nother brother. I remember the album (still have it) Big Bamboo. The rolling paper was stuffed with a 1/2oz of Columbian Gold dirt weed...lol.

You hide bang bang, no smokey smokey.

I agree. Some folks even think a kid is responsible enough to vote at 16, but not buy beer or own a firearm until 18 or even 21.

In Ohio if you get your pot card, be prepared to hand over your CCW license. We used CBD for our shepherd when he had cancer. Seemed to help with his pain. I’ve considered it for my back but I do turmeric and that takes the edge off. We have random testing where I work and not worth losing my job over it. Yes I understand the whole THC vs CBD but all it takes is some CBD from a source that doesn’t do good QC and you are done.

It has been awhile but all this talk has got me to thinking I need to take a trip to Great Barrington , MA and buy some pre-rolled. More PC than a home rolled and I may need to take the good car instead of the truck.
Kubota and Stihls will sit silent as I watch the clouds roll on by.
As my friends all know, the driveway is open and I will always offer a toke or a glass to any visitor. The kitchen master is gone, so if it can not be grilled, smoked , or eaten raw you need to bring it yourself.

If life is that bad that an alcohol beverage, like a glass of wine, or a tobacco cigarette, can't chill someone out, there's deeper problems inside the user.

I don't do weed or any illegal drugs. I don't see the need. I have no desire. I've seen the dealers peddling their shi%t to grade school kids. It makes me sick to my stomach. That's where it starts.

I suppose that if THC reduces pain, especially for the elderly, who were potheads in the 70's, let it be prescribed by real doctors.

The black-market drug trade will exist as long as they let it. The supposed' thought process is to eliminate the drug users by their own demise. That's a sad joke. Laced with fentanyl and PCP, street users will die off, if their kids don't follow in the habit. But they will. Look at San Francisco. What a mess.

i have acquaintances and family members who smoke a joint from time to time. At get-togethers at my house, I tell them that I'm not opposed to their decision to use it. But I ask them to go a distance away from my house to use it. Go somewhere else on my property and toke your hooter.

I'll remain clean and sober and vote against any legalization of anything other than alcohol or tobacco. Unless it's for pain, and issued by real doctors.

Imagine if it was legal and everybody smoked weed. i mean everybody. Would you be scared to drive into town?

I know, I'm a "real downer, Man". One of my favorite movies is The Big Lebowski. LOl
It illustrates the insanity.

You guys make me laugh, admitting to smoking weed, and then post something about guns,, You do understand that even if your state says it is OK according to the feds it is still a class 1 narcotic. And that means gray bar hotel if someone wishes to push it.
Unless your name is hunter. There is no reason to incriminate your self, do what you do and keep it to your self

I've come to the conclusion, I wouldn't make a good addict 😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Had to go in for outpatient surgery this past week. They put me fully under.

Took me three days before I really felt right from the anesthesia. I can't stand feeling dizzy and nauseous.

Nurse said they sent in a prescription for oxycodone. I Told the nurse while I was in recovery not to bother sending it in. I wouldn't fill the prescription.

Opioids just make me sick and dizzy.

They sent a prescription for Narcam to counter act the oxy if needed.

I did fill the prescription for the narcam. We host supervised visitation for our grandsons mom who is a meth head.

Figured it's not a bad idea to keep that on hand just in case.
