My L3130 HST says it’s in gear when it is not and won’t turn over.
I changed the neutral switch on the side of the transmission, part #060-53902, but still doing the same thing.
Should I change the clutch switch? Part #TD060-57500.

That symbol that is lit up in the first picture looks like a PTO indicator rather than a gear indicator...

I’ve tried hot wiring the starter which turns over the starter but the tractor still won’t start.

OK, what do I know? BUT do a web search for "universal tractor PTO symbol" and see what you find...I just did, and it seems to confirm my initial comment.

Just trying to help and not being argumentative...
I’m sorry if I came across argumentative. Just checking the check list. You actually helped me because I didn’t know exactly what the symbol meant.

You should change the idea that replacing parts is the way to troubleshoot a problem. Firing the parts cannon gets lucky sometimes, but most of the time, it's the most expensive, most time consuming, and least successful way to solve a problem.

Understand how things work, even if that means reading a shop manual and tracing a wiring diagram, and then do testing to find the problem.

I had a Kubota tech come to the tractor and he said to change the neutral switch.
I’ve never had a problem with this tractor in 17 years but I guess all things come to an end.

I'm still a bit confused why the indicator light that seems to show the universal symbol for a PTO being activated doesn't represent that.

What does your manual say this light actually means? Could very well be it means tractor is in gear. Not disputing that. Just wondering what the manual says that light actually indicates.

If it actually would indicate PTO is activated, when in fact you know the PTO lever is in the OFF position, then this would raise a flag. IF on the other hand, the light indicates the tractor is in gear when it isn't, then that is a different story.

I’ve been racking my brain about these same things.

As far as the indicator light goes, I can’t find it in my manual. I see the rear PTO definition but not the center PTO.

Without a clue, all I can think is that symbol on the light just represents ANY PTO, and not just a center PTO...But like I said, don't have a clue about your tractor.

Did your tractor have a mid PTO option? Could you try moving the PTO lever and see if the light goes out? Grasping for straws at my end...
