'Some' IRS agents are duly trained and sworn Law Enforcement personnel. Very few of that number would be armed and have the power of arrest.I just want to know WHY any of 87,000 IRS agents need to be armed
And just who will define the meaning of "Very few" ?'Some' IRS agents are duly trained and sworn Law Enforcement personnel. Very few of that number would be armed and have the power of arrest.
Getting back to skeet's original complaint of energy cost, my co-worker just ordered 100 gallons heating oil. $4.59 this trip; $5.69 last time in October.
So far, they have spent more on 2022/23 heating oil than they did all of 2021/22 heating season.
My oil contract for 22/23 set a new record here also. The wife and I have no problem wearing a sweater or sweatshirt in the house but he teenager just does not grasp the idea yet. Talked until I was blue in the face and in the end we came to a middle of the road agreement. As soon as she leaves for school that side of the house drops to 62 F. Makes up for the 67F that she keeps her room at night.And.........Winter (Dec.21st) has yet to arrive in Chenago County, NY.
Even before reading, I just knew you were going to say...."she"!My oil contract for 22/23 set a new record here also. Oh I don't support that faction of the IRS....just stating the facts. There is no reason for the IRS to have an armed LEOs, there are enough agencies that can do the job.
Yeah...that's the question for sure. And just who will define the meaning of "Very few" ?
A lot like......"It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is"?
She just got her first real part time job and started buying her own gas and some clothing. She is quickly finding out just how far a dollar goes. I am hoping her grand kids will see fusion. The correlation between hand on the thermostat and cash out the door is still a lesson she is learning.Even before reading, I just knew you were going to say...."she"!
Maybe by the time "she" has to pay a heating bill, there will be individual home nuclear fusion heating systems ?
They probably leave the receipt paper out of half of the pumps. That way you have to go inside. Maybe buy an 'impulse' item up by the register....who knows. Not to distract from the theme of this discusion, but I just gotta rant.
For my work vehicle, I must, Must, MUST get a gas receipt for every purchase. And, I purchase a LOT. So far, this month, about 80 gallons. Six fill ups, so far.
Seems like, most of the time, the receipt generator at the pump is out of paper, or otherwise out-of-order. So, I gotta traipse into the station, wait in line behind all the losers buying cancer sticks or lottery tickets, and request a receipt.
So, remind me, what's the utility of pay-at-the-pump?

Whoa, you need to chill a little. How am I a loser for getting some lottery tickets ?Not to distract from the theme of this discusion, but I just gotta rant.
