I was referring to the tractors that are built and assembled in the USA. I have zero experience with any tractors that were manufactured in Japan. Today, it is almost impossible to know where any one component comes from and what country, since everything mechanical is made of blended components from multiple countries. A model that was built in Japan and exported a few years ago might now be built in the USA with components that are of Japanese origin or USA origin or for that matter any one of the multiple countries that build or assemble parts. I have seen items that say they are assembled from parts made in China and assembled in Mexico. In a global economy, all the lines are now blurred in an attempt to be competitive in the marketplace.

Changed the engine oil. In the 25 months since the last oil change, I’ve put a whopping 23 hrs on the BX24.
While I was at the dealer picking up an oil filter, I priced a new seat since mine has the terrible seat with the forward sloping bottom and the rearward sloping back. $330 is a little more than I was planning to spend but I really do hate the seat I have. Gonna check out other options and see what’s out there that fits. If anyone has any recommendations on better seats that fit a 2007 BX, I’m all ears.

I'm not aware of any tractor engines or transmissions being built in the US though. Many come in from Japan with the engine, transmission, frame and cab assembled, and the dealer bolts on the axles, wheels/tires, FEL, etc.

I finished sawing that job today after sawing 5,185 board feet.
I put a new seat on my BX soon after I bought it. Hated the original seat.
Bought the seat at Rural King on sale, and found the same seat later online at Rural King and bought another one. Had to make an adapter to mount it, but it is WAY more comfortable than the original seat was. I also put the armrests on later.

That looks like the black talon seat without arm rests. Some of us got them for like $40 a couple of years ago. I wish that I had ordered 5 at that price.

Waste line repair with a rented "large orange". It dug great but was a real dog when backfilling/grading with the swing. It had no power at all. 210 hrs on the machine. Slow thumb which I didn't feel like messing with any settings other than flipping it into JD control pattern.
In hind sight, I could've done this one with the KX-033. It wasn't as deep as anticipated.
Edit: I have to remember to dig over the rear end of these machines with angle blades. Those blades stick out too far to dig deep over them. The visibility is terrible. I was hanging out thru the front glass in order to see what I was digging.
Lots of root masses encountered in the terra-cotta pipe between our connection and the sewer main (8 plus feet down). We were able to cut the roots with large trailer mounted jetter. Happy customer can finally user her own bathroom. She had been going to the local grocery store to do her "business".

Machine - $520, Delivery - $320, plus damage waiver and taxes came to $970. Quote included the rental but we didn't make a killing, that's for sure. We had some extra people there with a line camera, snake and finally the jetter. No way we were leaving that place without the customer having an open line.

Agreed, their craftsmanship and level of quality is unsurpassed in most cases. I am also loyal to Kubota after owning my LX, despite the leak (I won't fault them for that, liquid gaskets are finicky).It's certainly disappointing when a new vehicle has issues. I've had such a positive experience with Kubota that it would be very difficult to consider another brand in terms of tractors or excavators. Japanese workers typically have real pride in what they do, regardless of what that is.
Running the MX today and listening to the smooth four cylinder engine purring under load is just music to my ears. Such a great tractor and a real joy to own and use!

I am not certain that you will be happy with an L47 TLB for that sort of work, though the loader would be much better for grading.
I suspect that KX080 with 24" bucket was much faster.
The L47 can use a 24" bucket too.
had a fallen pine hung up on his trail today, used the bota to drop it, cut it up and he skidded it out with his tractor

The post is designed for an ATV but I removed the tool box and drilled two holes in the rail that goes across the rear. There is a plate welded to the bottom of the post that sits on top of the rail and another plate below the rail attached via two bolts.
