In the cities and suburbs, most would likely tuck tail and run.
In rural America, most would likely stay and fight.
Two very different cultures!

Years ago I was told that Swiss people also keep their military weapons at home for rapid access if needed...

I keep remembering how when my dad watched football, he always seemed to think he could do a better job on the field than the players in the game...

He was at least a generation older than any of the players...

I was discharged in 1969...have no idea how to compare training back then to what is done today. But I do remember that back then kids walked to school in deep winter snow, both ways were always up hill, and temperatures were always sub freezing !

It is the PRIMARY JOB of the Federal government to protect the Citizens. I like to think that some of my tax money is spent wisely.

Nothing personal, but your thinking may be flawed if you think that. Wisely spent tax dollars and politicians are an oxymoron. They very wisely squirrel it away for themselves to join the 1 percenters.

Are you currently threatened by a foreign country waging war? All large organizations, both public and private, are going to have some inefficient use of funds. It’s inherent to large organizations.

Protecting the Citizens INCLUDES an effective police force which promotes security. If the Citizens do not feel safe, the government is failing its PRIMARY OBJECTIVE.

There are lots of local militias that are true soldiers not toy soldiers. The are called the National Guard, Air National Guard, Army Reserve, Naval Reserve, Marines Reserve, and Coast Guard.

I guess they do have a part time arm though...forget what it is called...
