So last night was nail clipping night. Outside with two dog biscuits. One for left paws and one for right. Wife does the clipping. Never saw that dog cooperate for anything. Especially nail clipping. Last night was a different dog. Calm. Except the cookie part. Came in house,went to her bed and waited for final treat. Guess 15 seconds was too long, she got up and flipped lid off and took her own. It was priceless.

Well at ten weeks old, she's up to 13.5lbs she's almost as big as our jack Russell terrier. Had a case of one ear flopping. But today they decided to stand back up again

Thanks buddy She was under fed and 1/3 the size of our miniature dachshund when we got her at 5 weeks old. We've been floored with the improvements and growth over the past 6 weeks. Course a high end puppy food helps.

We got Mozzie from the Cedar Rapids dog pound. First picture is the day we brought him home 3 years ago, second photo was this summer after a trim. A dog who thinks he needs lots of attention. Not a fan of strangers. Still working on that. Probably 6 years old now. Some sort of terrier. I thinks at 24 lbs he is too big for a Carin.

Won't be long before she's no longer a "lap dog"! She'll be letting you know when YOU can set on the sofa. Better quit feeding her so well, to stunt her growth.

I share my little house with 6 Sheps. The one showing the big smile has taught each new pup the way of the pack. She looks scary but she has lovingly protected each pup as they join us.

I'll have pictures of her full grown in Beth's lap even if I have to encourage her surprisingly, she hasn't figured out how to get on the furniture. Had to teach her the other day how to negotiate steps going up into the camper. She was so proud when she climbed up them on her own We got her in obedience school and that's going very well. We have very little trouble with the leash. And she's learning 2 or 3 new commands a week. Sit, lay down and stay are going pretty good. just depends on how excited she is. Off, leave it, and take it are this week's homework assignment She pretty well has leave it down packed. She has three more weeks of puppy school. Then we'll probably continue her into the intermediate class. If she still needs work on the stuff from the puppy classes, we can take her through it again at no charge Then bump her to the intermediate training.
