Just bought a used BX25 and I'm trying to figure out which BX25 it is. The hood says BX25. The ID label says BX25D (label with serial number). The brake pedal is on the right-hand side, tach & hours are one digital gauge, temp & fuel are analog gauges and a couple of lights (glow plug and a couple other). It came with BT601 backhoe and the loader is a LA240.

Any idea which model I have?

Isn’t the BX25 and BX25D the same tractor/loader/backhoe model?

Seems like it was similar with the BX23/BX23D and the BX24/BX24D….

I may be wrong; just thought they were synonymous.

They are more or less the same..........
I think - and yeah I could be wrong - the "D" added armrests! and something else .......

ok - I cheated , looked it up

" such as a revised dash layout, a higher steering wheel, and a relocated brake pedal. "

Bx25 is a 60 series and bx25d is a 70 series. Only real difference is the brake pedal moved to the left on the bx25d. Your panel isnt really a good guage as the original panel likely failed and was replaced with the updated version which had the digital tach on the right side as you have. Its confusing because the bx24 also has a label of bx24d but hood says bx24.

Bx24 bx25 and bx25d are essential the same tractor. Bx24 had the plastic fender and hood, bx25 same thing but changed to metal hood and fender, bx25 again same tractor just moved brake to left. There are a few trivial things such as armrests, rops, etc as well

If I recall, the BX25DLB-1 version also got a nicer floor mat along with some minor other tweaks, but nothing consequential.

Serial number is 54913
It does not have arm rests
Break pedal on the right side
It has 355.8 hour on it and I got it for $16k. I think that was a good deal.

This thread piqued my interest since I owned a BX25D for five years, starting in June of 2016.

Mine had the following part and serial number:

BX25DLB-R-1 Tractor SN: 24256 (w/ Loader & Backhoe)

The one in the center of the images is the one I ended up buying.

@ stevewhitts,
My BX 25 is a twin to the unit you just purchased. (it's based on the BX 2360 series tractor)
Identical instrument cluster. (your instrument cluster is likely the original)
My serial number sticker says BX25D SN 59109
Brake pedal on right side.
No armrests on the seat.
I bought mine from my father-in-law equivalent, who was the original purchaser.
It was sold as a 2011 model year.
I paid $10.5k in 2019, mine had ~ 400 hours when purchased, it's over 800 hours now.
Yours and mine are separated by 4196 production units.
Mine has been a very solid machine with an absolutely amazing amount of work done with it.
I have a long ongoing thread in the "Projects" section where some of the work has been documented.

I recently acquired a second additional BX 2370 strictly for mowing grass.
That has the brake pedal on the left side and the seat has armrests.
It's a 2013 model with 361 hours on it.
It spent at least ~ eight months sitting outside on the dealership used lot.
When I went and looked at it, the instrument cluster tachometer was inoperative.
The selling dealership had to replace the instrument cluster for the sale of the machine to me.
That repair cost is approaching $1000 parts and labor. Parts alone is about $700.

So here is a very strong suggestion for you.
Get that machine stored someplace out of the Maryland rain & snow.
Unless you want to replace the instrument cluster for a grand.

Many people will tell you the BX series machines are nothing more than "overstuffed" garden tractors.
That statement would not be truthful.

Enjoy that new-to-you machine!

I would agree. A BX series tractor is like a 1/4" drive ratchet and socket set i.e. capable of doing a lot of useful work that sure beats using fingers, and a tool that has a place in many people's toolbox.

congrats.... low hrs so likely lots and lots of good use still to come.

I chuckled when I saw this pic.
2 gauges - I get their engineers desire to instill the importance of watching your engine temps. Very important..... but spending half the gauge package dedicated to fuel level??? I guess they didn't want the long distant operators to run out of fuel hundreds of miles away from the farm.

cheers

You have a BX25 or normally called a BX25D.
You should get good use out of it.

Great find, and I think a great price. Looks like my BX2360 dash, etc.

Like @McMXi and others say, you'll get good use of it.

One of the reasons I didn't get a BX25 was neighbor has a BX24 TLB.

When I told him the tractor I was buying didn't have a backhoe, he simply said the key is always in his tractor..... ;)

One day I was doing some yard work pulling shrubs. He literally pulled his tractor to the end of his driveway and left it there so I would take it....

I took him up on it....the key was in it.;)
