Yes thank you, I know how to use a map and the closest dealer is 2 hours 41 minutes away as I stated... it's a tractor, I live on a farm in northern Arizona, it's not a yard tractor and I live in Phoenix like your map seems to imply I do and can almost walk to a dealer.

I feel your pain, the kid lives in Twentynine Palms, and the closest is about 80 miles away about 2 hours, so you got most of a day shot in the arse out and back , IF you dont run in to some of those rumdumbs on the road

That's great for you who has a dealer "that you drive past." My local dealer dropped Kubota so I had to drive 1+ hour round-trip to get to the next closest dealer.

I have no problem with anyone charging reasonable shipping but I think this thread was started about unreasonable shipping. In my case, the issue came with the $20 increase in cost to add 4 small rubber seals to a box that already had 5gal of SUDT2 in it.

Yup, almost three hours for me… everyone thinks it’s so easy to just drive by your dealer, farms aren’t in the city folks..

There are dealers closer than Messick was my point.
While a 6 hour round trip is not ideal it's still cheaper the $250 in shipping.
But if you value your time and want to avoid the trip pay the price!

I live a couple of states over from Messick's and just ordered parts from them. I was going to order SUDT2 from them, but the shipping quote was very high. I removed the fluid and the shipping for the parts was actually cheaper than I had expected. I tried to find a cheaper way to ship the fluid but shipping was always expensive. My dealer is about half as far as yours, but it made financial sense to just make a day trip out of it and go pick it up. I stopped by some other stores in the area to make the most of it.

If you have other farms around, maybe ask what they do? I imagine they would have the same issue. Could possibly go in on an order together and split the shipping?

Well that's a much better playground that a casino.
At least with this playground when you spend all that money, you can at least go out to the barn/garage and admire what took your money. All you get at the casino is secondhand cigarette smoke and sick feeling about all the money you lost. JMHO
