The State DOT cleaned out a ditch across the road from me, and I managed to get all the spoil - about 60 yards, more or less. 6 dump truck loads in any event.

I put the rock bucket (skeleton bucket) on the Cabota and used it to screen out the big chunks of roots, sod, rocks weeds and debris. Trash went in my home-built dump trailer.

Then "Guido", my Pasquali 986 hauled the trailer down to a big hole on the back of the property...

sto3.jpg

And dumped it.

The "screened" spoil was hauled a bucketload at a time and dumped in low spots that hold water in the pasture. I'll let Mother Nature take care of seeding it, I'll just level it up with my box blade and pack it down a little and then mow around it for the rest of the year. We've had enough rain that I've been mowing around the puddles anyway.

I "screen" until the trailer is full, dump it, switch buckets and lug off what I've screened, switch back to the rock bucket, screen...rinse...repeat. I've got more than enough places that can use the fill, it'll all be gone in a couple of days if the weather cooperates.

It's always nice to get free fill. I usual have a tandem dump truck sized pile around and it gets whittled away at a steady pace.

Traded my 2+ year old tiller and $593 in today on a dump trailer. I'll get a lot more use out of the trailer.

Dropped it and put the FDR2584 on anytime off to mow.

We had some heavy down pours last week end followed by several rainy days. A down hill curve got washed a little. Finally dried up enough to make it a little better yesterday.

Yep, she would love a bed up there if I could get her to sit still. Not quite a year old yet so boundless energy. Wears me out. I don't get much done when she's at the lot with me, but it is fun. Was able to get a few boards on the carryall back (3 pt hitch side) done before the rain started up again. Is that a land plane you are using? I am thinking about a box blade to help with land clearing.

Gave the trailer a workout. It lifted the bed at idle and seems to be well balanced while pulling and dumping it.

put on the rear blade and gave it a rough grade. Need a few more loads to finish it off.

Yes, It looks a little odd because I added a tail gate to it.

Does a good job fixing up the road surface and is my most used road tool. But if I need to reshape the contour I use a rear blade or box blade followed by LP to smooth out the blade work.

Slow tractor time. Finally got the building and electrical permit to put up the radio tower. That means post hole digger time. I have 3 12' long I beams to plant in the yard for anchor points. An 18" auger is my first choice - no back hoe here :(
Ordered the 18 incher and it should be in soon. Also have a 24" extension coming. The 18" auger is 4' long and I want to drill a 5' hole. With my other augers there have been times an extension would have been great. I can pretty much retire the manual phd now.
I have to wait for Call Before You Dig to do their thing. Timing should be good.

In the meantime I started another rolling dolly for the ballast box. I've been leaving it outside and it shows.

Thank G man. Nice setup with the top and tilt kit. Ordered the kit from my dealer. And will have it installed at 50 hour service. Appreciate the pics and details,

Looks like the "taters" in the background have a good start.
They weren't doing great until we got about 5" of rain this week. Prior to that we had only gotten about .75" in the past couple of months.

I had to cross my main bridge to access some Bushhogging Thursday and a couple of decking boards flipped up catching the Bushhog. I finished cutting but no way was I gonna cross back over with the Bushhog. I disconnected it and crossed back with only the tractor, soooo, it was bridge rebuilding today.

We will have our Annual Trail Ride and Scavenger Hunt on the 4th and the trails are now ready. (y)
