So just as the title says, had anyone ever replaced a bx 80 series transmission with a transmission from a 50 series machine. They look identical but the trans case part numbers are slightly different. Advice needed. Thanks.

You might want to look again, they are very different.
The reason I thought they were similar is because the parts that attach to the case itself are the same parts that go into the 80 series trans. Is it different physically and not swap in? I see that your a Kubota tech so I very much value your opinion. Thanks.

you can do a 'split screen compare', open two 'parts finders', one for BX2380 other for BX2350 and go page by page, checking the parts and numbers. yes a rather tedious process but best(?) way to know for sure.

Yes, the case numbers were the most obvious. Just sucks as I found a good used trans but it was out of a 2350.
