L4240HSTC-3 Turbo upfit-upgrade?

Wondering if anyone has performed a turbo upfit-upgrade on one of these?
I think the boost would come in handy with my front snowblower on my hilly driveway. It is a interim tier 4 without the catalytic converter and dpmf.

he's a busy man, but his work is top notch. OTT member @Rdrcr is in the process of installing a aftermarket turbo on his D1703 engine. maybe one of them can help point you in the right direction.

I’m not familiar with your tractor or engine. Is it a simple mechanical diesel or is it electronic computer controlled? If mechanical, a turbo can be added without too much trouble. If electronic, as of this posting, I’m unaware of anyone offering ECM ‘tunes’ that would be necessary to control fuel for that setup.

Yes you can bolt a turbo on it, but you'll need to rework the fuel injection pump to get anything out of it.

Hello, new to the forum here. Looking for some suggestions and guidance to add hp/air to my victim which is a 2012 L3240 HSTC-3 (D1703) 770hrs. my issue is the property sits at 8700 ft elevation where the air is a little thin. Im not looking to do hole shot wheel stands, but a reliable boost of AIR into my orange breathing dragon would be great. Anyone out there make a reliable, proven turbo kit for a D1703, (non dpf, mechanical Diesel)? I read in past years where Mikemoto on this forum had built a turbo kit with an oem RH3F Kubota turbocharger setup on his D1703. Any help to get my Orange Angry Dragon breathing at altitude would be GREAT. <Les>

Can you take some more pictures of your engine/engine bay? The S2T Performance L2501 Turbo Kit may fit your L3240.

The L2501 Turbo Kit is currently on Back-Order but, is well worth the wait!

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ve been researching the S2T performance L2501 kit and the L3240 is basically identical. Where it gets interesting is getting the compressor pipe over top of the AC Compressor, who put that ac compressor right in the middle anyways .
I think I’m going go ahead get on the back order list. If all goes well by spring the Orange Angry Dragon will have a new attitude and some extra air in her lungs. Thanks again Mike

Hello fellow Gearheads and you to Mike,
The day has finally came, The Orange Dragon is currently under the knife getting a well needed boost under its skirt. After all’s done and fat lady has sang, our hope is to have ourselves an Anger Orange Dragon.
Once the job is complete, I’ll have the details of what I had to be modified to fit the L2501 on the L3240 HSTC-3 with AC compressor in the way. Here are a few preliminary photos for us visual ones to poke fun at.
1. The coolant overflow tank is easily moved below the air box.
2. A slight message to the fuel tank heat shield at the turbos exhaust 90*.
3. Another slight exhaust tube message over the alternator bracket.
4. About 6” of tube added to the compressor intake tube to get over top the AC compressor.
