As well as using a real clock and not the tractors clock, as I've been told that some tractor clocks vary with rpm's.

That's my 2¢, I'll "SHUT UP, SIT DOWN" now.

Ron

All "good tractors" record time as a percentage of full rated rpm. There is no sense in racking up time at idle. Let the records show use and not the time one forgot to turn the key off.

fit a Hobbs if "time" is the concern.

B2650HSDC: just breaking it in and the first 30 hours = about 7 gallons, so that is over 4 hours per gallon. 1/4 gallon an hour vs. 1 gallon per hour with my 8Ns, very happy with that consumption. Will it get even better after break in? That would be good to know if anybody has had any experience with a new machine.

Posted in What did you do on your Kubota today? Last weekend. L3901 ,16.1 hours on tractor clock, topped off before job and after. 16.1 hours @ 2300 rpm @ 540 rpm bushhoging food plots that hadn't been done in 2 yrs. 7.9 gals. Diesel turns out to be .5 gal/ hour. 17.47 $ premium diesel @ 2.219 per gallon. Temperature in mid 90's humidity in 70 % range. Done between 12:00 sat. Till after dark, and 7:30 ish til 2:00 ish, 99% time running at high rpm, only slowed motor to load back on trailer and maybe 2-3 mins gradual slow down rpm before shutdown. Had been hoping to get an extended run just to see what " Big Orange" could do . My 60 yr old butt/ back/ and other unmentionables still hurting. Good luck to all on your projects.
