The regular Piranha is great for digging. No need for the pro version. I liked my piranha bar so much i added the straight one to my arsenal. Both will put more material in your bucket. I use the straight one when I am working around the yard to move loam etc. when i'm in the back woods on my property I use the Piranha with the cutting teeth. Once you drill out the holes on the side of the bucket, you are ready to go with either bar. BXpanded will ask you if you have either of their bar installed, then they will build another to perfectly match.
The toothed bar will pop roots, the smooth will shave sod (depending), so they do serve different purposes, and while two bars is nice though so is having one bar with both smooth and toothed because instead of having to remove and mount a different heavy bar with a different cutting edge the Pro allows for pulling all but the center bolt, spinning it around, then putting the bolts back in--so much easier.

I finally got to use the toothy side of the tooth bar this Memorial weekend, yikes!

Digging out a dirt/rock/debris pile from some other landscaper ("do it cheap" sure leaves a mess for the next property owner...) the Piranha Bar cut through it no problem, way better than the OEM bucket edge. The teeth hit large rocks (at slow speed) with no damage--in fact the toothy side is great for digging out rocks, rotty stumps, severing roots, spearing chickens--no no, not that. The Piranha Bar really does work great, especially in the mess that included buried conduit, drywall corners, rebar, trailer parts, etc. Note I did not abuse the Piranha Bar, rather I slowly and carefully pried out "stuff" from the mound, sorted it into piles, and did the job cautiously.

The name "Piranha" certainly fits, and for me it definitely seems worth the investment.

When not using the bucket keep it on the ground. That bar stays sharp even after digging tons of rock. I love that thing.

Anyone have any experience with this one?
Yes, I use it on my bucket in the winter for snow removal. It works well in increasing the capacity of the bucket and it also provides a thick wear plate for the bucket edge. It did require adding some shims to the attachment bolts at the bucket edge corners to keep it tight to the bucket, but overall I am happy with it.
