    L245dt restoration

This system looks ideal.. https://www.hoyetractor.com/PROD/PSC-178.htm Would this slow down the loader? or would it slow it down while trying to do both at the same time? The loader is not very fast as it is.

    L245dt restoration

Thanks I am happy with how it turned out. I'm not sure on hours but it has taken up most of my weekends for the last 3 1/2 months lol. After using it around my yard a little bit today I find it kind of hard to steer. When a front wheel hits a log or rock it will take the wheel out of my hand...

    L245dt restoration

Here is a few pictures of my restoration I just finished up. I bought it not running for almost 3 years and busted steering. After new starter, injection pump rebuild and new governor springs I got it running. And the sector shaft had broken teeth in the steering box. I also ripped out the...

    FEL bracket bolt problem

Thanks! I hope so,,,all that was holding it together when I picked it up was the front loader mounts and the rear cab mounts as the back of the loader arms were welded (very poorly) to the front of the cab, and the 2 bolts to hold the the sub frame to the bottom where missing. Yes....by any...

    FEL bracket bolt problem

Yep I got them. Much appreciated!! Judging by your pictures I think I'm on the right track. It already seems much stiffer. I can't believe this tractor was put together that way from what I can tell was a long time ago. I think it is either a '77 or '78 because numerically the serial number is...

    FEL bracket bolt problem

I have 3 more braces made and welded to the existing sub frame. One more on the bottom and one on either side of the bell housing which gives me 6 more bolts(when I get the right size). Once I get the right bolts I'm going to put the cab back on, then I can fab braces to the rear axle to the cab...

    FEL bracket bolt problem

Ok yeah I did notice the plugs in some. I think the threads for the sides of the bell housing are 14mm× 1.25 pitch and I am having a hard time finding some at local shops

    FEL bracket bolt problem

Thank you very much that is a big help. Working measuring it up now. The holes i have are threaded they were just full of dirt. The bottom bolts are a 12mm fine thread. Do you know what size the threads are in the bell housing?

    FEL bracket bolt problem

Bracing to the rear axle assembly should be easy enough. Are these the bolt locations for the front? They are not threaded but could be tapped I'm sure. And in the second picture what is that bent cover in the middle of the two holes?

    FEL bracket bolt problem

Your right it seems most is fine. Not debating you, and I'm not very experienced with the proper threads for different applications, but at the machine shop the guy told me that course thread had better holding strength in cast then fine. So we will see when I drop the tractor off to him. But...

    FEL bracket bolt problem

Some pictures would be great of how your bracing is. I cannot find a clear picture on google. My loader is built by Allied. The threads on one bolt are fine but the other one is about half stripped out...I think the first one rattled out and the second one stripped out after it rattled most of...

    FEL bracket bolt problem

I am in the process of putting my l245dt project back together and the bolts that holds the brace for the FEL to the bottom of the chassis keep coming loose. I figured there was a reason there was no bolts in it when I took the tractor apart. And someone previously welded the back of the loader...

    4wd not working on L245dt

I see part number 3 on the diagram in the manual says there is snap rings on either side of the couplers. I must not have slid the tube back far enough to expose them.

    4wd not working on L245dt

Thanks! Did as you said and the driveshaft was not into the front diff. Was able to grab it with some pliers and pull the shaft onto the splines of the front diff. It doesn't seem like there is much holding it into the front diff? Was thinking there might be a spring or something to hold it in?
