Here is a few pictures of my restoration I just finished up. I bought it not running for almost 3 years and busted steering. After new starter, injection pump rebuild and new governor springs I got it running. And the sector shaft had broken teeth in the steering box. I also ripped out the original wiring harness and made a complete new one.

WOW what a CHANGE! :) Thanks for the pics.

How many hours did you put in it? You sure have a talent there.

I've been following your questions here about your project.

Man...it proves a picture is worth a 1,000 words..

Good for you. You NEED to be proud of your accomplishment!

Thanks I am happy with how it turned out. I'm not sure on hours but it has taken up most of my weekends for the last 3 1/2 months lol. After using it around my yard a little bit today I find it kind of hard to steer. When a front wheel hits a log or rock it will take the wheel out of my hand. Does anyone make a power assist kit for this model anymore?

Sadly no, but you could possibly make up your own.
Parts are getting very hard to find, for that kind of system.

If you did all that just working weekends for 3 1/2 months, you must not have done anything else...... like eat or sleep???? :D

Do you know of any universal kits around that I could adapt to it?

If it is running off of the tractor pump like mine, it will be slow. Apparently Kubota's replacement pumps put out more volume, but in the day the other option was to install a pump on the splined shaft off of the front of the engine. I have the "armstrong steering" too - it is something you get used to, but there are times where I have considered a retrofit too. You may be able to find used Kubota power steering parts but it is a long shot.
