Where the battery cable connects to the starter, there is also a 12-gauge wire that is on the same lug. Follow that wire from the starter forward. You should find a fuseable link in the wire, which is the fuse. Check for voltage on each side of it.

If the hose does not stay on, it has probably deteriorated and should be replaced. I have found that a different clamp style only works for a short while.

Yeah, I see this unit uses the internal snap-ring version. Kubota uses 4 different styles, without looking at it, sometimes I get them mixed up, remembering which is used where. They also substitute some of the other styles for this style. :unsure:

Drain some oil from the drain plug into a clean pan to see if there is water in the oil. Water will plug the media and burst the filter. They usually burst within seconds of start-up, though.

There is a small wire clip around the shaft next to the ball socket. Unsnap the wire from the shaft and pull the wire out of the ball socket. The strut will now pop off the ball. Reverse to reinstall.

The cabin glass is mounted using urethane, not butyl. Butyl mounted glass has a very bad habit of blowing out when a tractor is hauled down the highway. All equipment manufacturers, cars, trucks, boats, and planesetc use urethane for a good reason.

The HST filter on the BX series tractors is pressure-fed. Like others have told you, you will only lose less than a quart of fluid. Tipping the tractor, facing it uphill, and using a vacuum cleaner will make no difference.

Simple test, remove the shut-off solenoid and plug the opening to keep debris out. Now he can run the tractor to see if it stays running or dies. If it still dies, it is fuel-related; if it stays running, it is electrical.

Check the tierod ends on the linkage from your hydro pedal to the hydrostat. The nut on the rear of the linkage rod tierod end will probably be loose. Lay under the tractor, engine off, using a flashlite you can see the linkage while you move the pedal from forward to reverse and back.

Yes, they would have had to drain the coolant to install the heater, but they may have caught it and poured it back in. If you are not sure, you probably should change/flush the system. Refill with fresh coolant.

My BX2370 is 7 years old and still has the original boots. They have no cracks or splits.
