I need wiring for a Kubota

Wolfman said there are several versions. Maybe one with another number can be used and is available. But I would not have a clue how to find out. A good dealer would know. May I ask what happened to the original wires? I assume you considered repairing the old one already and discarded that option.

    Reviving a G1900

Wheel drive shaft u-joints Kubota price of $102 for one of those is totally out of question. So I ordered a few of Nissan U-joints 25x44mm for 7 quid each. Arrived today and they fit. They have a grease nipple in one of the needle bearings, so you need 3 u-joints swap that cap out. Or you...

Seems it is not available (any more?).

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Now this is a fine roller you have ! I would love to have something like this. Would you mind giving me the dimensions (I can probably guess them from the pictures) and most importantly, the weight?

    RC48 mower deck removal question

The only PTO shafts for mower decks of those tractors I have seen (not many, I admit freely :giggle: ) had this ring mechanism. There are three steel balls inside that are locked by the ring. This is when the ring is forward. When you pull the ring back the balls are released...

    RC48 mower deck removal question

Hi Roger, there is a locking mechanism in the front piece. You have to pull the ring (red arrow) back towards the u-joint to open it and then pull off the whole thing off the PTO shaft. Kind regards, Hugo

    Reviving a G1900

Rear wheel steering assembly (continued) First we clean around the rear axle. Keep any dirt out, even tiny particles can cause damage to the hydraulic system. Then we apply grease to the o-ring and the seal ring of the king pin support and to the axle end and slide the support over the axle...

    Reviving a G1900

Rear wheel steering assembly Insert one clip ring into the axle support, slide in both wheel bearings and secure with the second clip ring. Insert wheel nut studs into the wheel hub. I turned them around with the longer part to the inside and secured them with counter nuts M10x1.25. This way...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

It is well possible that the switch (or the control lever) had wear and possibly needed adjustment. Otherwise it was only borderline open/closed and vibrations could then cause malfunction. I repaired one of those safety switches that had failed completely: Link safety switch repair.

Thank you very much for the explanation! Now that you mention it, I think one of mine disapperared too when I built the house. :)

Hmmm, I really have to ask now. What is the significance of the 10mm nut? Read that in a few threads already and don't get what this is about.

    Reviving a G1900

Is that a straight one? Then you could replace it with an angled version. This is accessible with a normal grease gun head. It is a u-joint from a deck I just repaired. It has to point in the right direction, of course. So buy a bunch of them (Aliexpress) and try out which one is fine when...

    Reviving a G1900

That sounds pretty complicated to reach one grease point. On the G1900 there really is enough space from the side. Have you tried turning the front wheels for a bit of extra space?

    Reviving a G1900

If you disconnect the linkages you should be able to push the deck back far enough under the tractor to get the drive shaft off at the front. Then you should be able to move it in any direction to reach the grease nipple. Maybe you can replace it with an angled version to be able to reach it...

    Reviving a G1900

Rear wheel steering disassembly (continued) If we dig away about half an inch of grease and dirt outside the wheel hub we will find a small clip ring holding the u-joint. Remove that clip ring (goggles!) and pull out the u-joint. Remove the clip ring on the inside holding the wheel hub and...

    Reviving a G1900

Rear wheel steering (disassembly) First we have to drain the HST fluid. You realise that latest when you pull the king pin support off. Don't ask... Then we loosen the wheel nuts, jack up the rear of the tractor, support the frame or the axle arms, remove the wheel nuts and take the wheels...

    Reviving a G1900

A lot of it is from working on old cars. But very much applicable to old Kubota tractors too :giggle: And I had bought 5kg of nuts and bolts from a G1900 dismantler in the US and got them electroplated, so I can put everything back together quckly without having to wait. Have to cut the grass...
