Its funny how things are reported on. I was watching the local NBC station in Portland Maine. It said a man walking in Portland had his head slashed from behind by a homeless man suffering from anxiety.
Anxiety. Not attempted murder.

You’re making assumptions too. Who knows what the true story is at this point?

Maybe the homeless guy just wanted the other guys ponytail and accidentally cut the back of his head. Anxiety? Maybe the homeless guy was feeling threatened by the guy‘s ponytail!

I agree that sometimes the headlines we see don’t reflect true reality! My response probably doesn’t reflect reality either!:ROFLMAO:

After 25 years with Search and Rescue, I can't count the number of times I'd get home from a mission, see the news about the same search, and think, "What are they (the newscasters) smoking? That's not even CLOSE to what happened!"

30+ years of investigating a wide variety of stuff where accuracy was paramount, I quickly learned news is about getting it fast, getting it right be damned.

Well, here is a couple examples of why I couldn't be an editor. I would absolutely roast the people that came up with these headlines 🤣😂🤣😂🤣

I agree with you guys, 37 years doing a lot of mining investigations on accidents and death. And when it was all said and done, my reports were nothing like the ones published, sometimes I wondered if it was the same incident and someone just put my name on the wrong report . What I did find out, as every report we submitted was re written and they always seems to be re written to fit an agenda

I stopped watching/listening to the "drive-by media" long ago when this happened.

A cop was fatally wounded by another cop using a shotgun to deal with a perp at a hospital in York PA. WGAL interviewed an tactical gear expert (apparently new title for shirt salesman) on the subject of the the officer's body armor. He stated that two pellets made it through uncovered spots. In the interview he told the reporter that " Most commonly, a double-barreled shotgun would be utilized in a patrol shotgun". Did he gather that information from watching old movies with stage coaches?

Just saw Josh Hawley questioning insurance executive over changing adjuster's reports to reduce payments. https://x.com/HawleyMO/status/1922406326367387798

Insurance companies life, home, auto, health, are legalized theft. And I know that SF jerked me around big time, because the agent did not want to be bothered doing his job, along with the so called adjuster not getting the proper information on the crash, then holding up payment, why I have no idea. It would seem your relation ship with your agent has a lot to do with how your claims are handled,, just MHO of course

I can confirm that from firsthand experience. Fortunately my agent was always in my corner when there was a question on a claim and very diligent in seeing that I got discounts I am intitled to. Over the years I realized my agent was helpful but not until my agent's office manager inadvertently allowed us to hear a conversation with company headquarters did I realize they would actually cross swords with the company if necessary to assure I got far treatment.

More than one has thanked me for referring them to this agent but a couple of people were floored as the result. I was in conversation with a close friend who's wife works for one of the large companies and he mentioned what he pays for auto coverage. I suggested he contact my agent for a quote and naturally he said his wife being an employee earned them best rates to be had. I reiterated that there's no harm nor cost for asking. Later on he told me they had changed most of their ins business to the agent I recommended. His wife's employer rated their 19 year old son on the ground pounding Chevy Nova L78 my friend owned. That car is so valuable my friend rarely drives it and certainly would never let anyone use it for a daily driver.

Aint watched the news in a decade plus.

I don't watch regular TV either.

Also not a part of any social media, short of talking on here and watching youtube videos.

We are at the point where you should question EVERYTHING. Fake food, fake news, fake money, illusion of choices. Especially EVERYTHING you see on a screen. AI can replace a live streamer in real time now.
Y. It's not just the one listed in the meme...its all of them.

I don't watch the news anymore either. Gave up on that a while ago and I'm finally starting to feel better.

Just because media reports don't agree with your world view, doesn't mean it isn't true.
Think about that.

News reporters and mainstream media aren't a bunch of idiots, they are a well oiled machine geared to control society. Look into the practice of gaslighting as explained by psychologists and what is being discussed here begins making sense.
