One of the many good things about Messick's is that they have the "product replaces" feature so you can find out the part number for the most current version of whatever you're looking for.

As for fake Kubota filters for a part that costs $13.63? Why bother? I buy all Kubota filters from the local dealer but regularly buy oil filters from Amazon for other pieces of equipment.

More accurately attempt to start an argument. Newbie doesn't realize it's OIL we ague over NOT OIL FILTERS.😂
Thank you for your reply. I am trying to prevent a 70 mile round trip to the closest Kubota dealer. I am sure my local auto parts store does not carry Kubota parts, so I am trying to find a good quality alternative.

To avoid a 140-mile round trip, I’d gladly pay the shipping from Messicks or Coleman for an oil filter.

I can normally get parts from my local dealer for about the same price as them (minus shipping). I drive by my local dealer many times per week, so for me the dealer is more convenient.

But there’s been a few times it was simply more convenient to have something delivered to my door….;)

Don’t recall what I ordered, but a couple times it was worth it. I try to keep spares of all filters/fluids on the shelf.

Thank you for your reply. I have purchased parts from Messicks in the past. They are a great company. I have owned my tractor for about 19 yrs. I have purchased filters and oil from the dealer in the past. Last year I needed a new radiator cap and went to the dealer. When I was told a new cap was $53.00 I decided to check my local auto parts store. They had one for about $9.00. I would rather use good quality alternate parts rather than be over charged. Thank you again for your help.

The Amazon link Wolfman posted is from Cutler's. They are a brick & mortar Kubota / Artic Cat / Suzuki dealer out of Orem Utah. Highly unlikely they would sell fakes.
Problem is, if it ships and sold through AMzone they could switch it for another more readily available piece. The link posted is not, but I'm just saying this to male others aware.

Why not simply ask your local dealer if they'll ship maint parts to you. I'll lay odds if you're a good customer, you pay the shipping and order a few things at a time, they'd happily accommodate you

I buy genuine Kubota filters. It is unlikely that there is any special magic inside Kubota filters. It is a safe assumption that they are of a level of quality higher than that of some also-rans. There may be something equal to SUDT2 at NAPA. Maybe not.

There are a couple extra oil filters in the shed and when the tractor gets fresh SUDT2 (at fewer than the recommended hour intervals) I buy the filter package that Messicks stocks. If changing filters and fluids too often is a mistake, I'm OK with making that mistake.

The number of dollars required for things has changed over the years. I understand that. But it sticks in my mind that in 1972 we only paid $4K more for a nice brand new bi-level than we paid for a used tractor in 2018.

As others have said, buy from dealer have it shipped. Actually buy 3 or 6(see what a carton contains) as often shipping can be 'flat rate'. You'll always need the filters !
I can either drive for an hour and burn MY gas or pay $12 for 'shipping'. Shipping wins, also allows me to do other stuff instead of taking my life on the roads here.

Glad to see that wolfeman supplied the correct answer for a replacement oil filter, didn’t seem that hard but some sure made it out to be….
