I can replace this belt (1G772-97010) blindfolded. That’s how many times I’ve replaced these belts on two machines over the years. These skids are practically new as far as hours. Avg 250-300. I keep the pulleys rust free, tension perfect, The belt runs smooth from the water pump down to the crank pulley, then after the crank, you can visually see quite a shake and wobble up to the alternator. After the alternator, back to the water pump, the belt settles back down from the wobble. Seems to me , between the crank pulley and the alternator, there needs to be an idler to keep the wobble down. I can’t seem to find any bulletins on this. I’ve spoken to the dealership but don’t seem to get any good answers. I’ve changed pulleys, alternators and exhausted everything I could think of. Any thoughtful suggestions? I’m out of them. My next option would be to fabricate my own spring loaded idler pulley smack center of the wobble. I'm always on top of these machines as far as maintenance. Other than the belt problems, they treat us well. Any thoughts would be appreciated. On my way to change it again. Thx ahead.
