M6040 Gear Selector

Having problems getting gear selector into 3/4/5th gear, selector goes between 1 and 2nd ok but then will not move over to neutral and 3/4/5th, any ideas or am i selecting wrongly.

Sounds like a broken or disconnected shift-fork.

Has shift linkage under operator station been lubricated recently?

The shifting is done with cables and external linkages depending upon model.

See attached pages.

Not likely internal transmission stuff.

Hello, its the cabin model, i have just gave it a good dousing of WD40 its difficult to see below the area where the gear select is

Concerning my M7040 if Hi-lo shift linkage isn't frequently lubricated it is very difficult to shift between ranges'.

Concerning my M7040 if Hi-lo shift linkage isn't frequently lubricated it is very difficult to shift between ranges'.
Range shift is fine, i an struggling trying to locate linkage for main gears, i have the front plastic off but the selector shaft goes below the floor, any pictures on where to check or lubricate would help

This is not going to be a lubrication problem, it’s going to be a fork/shifter problem which will be addressed with a WSM.
I have got a manual but i am not sure where it gives info on fork shifter location or access

Look into the section on “Travelling System”. I posted a pic above which refers to the same system on my M4700. The shifter fork will be directly actuated by your gear-shift-selector lever. See item 3 in the second pic.
