Tracking a Short

I think we have a bingo! BOTH leads to the plug have continuity to ground. Looks like the wire is pooched for some unknown reason. I will see if I can find a way of replacing it that doesn't involve taking the tractor entirely apart.

Thanks very much for the guidance. My father was a talented heavy duty mechanic. Not sure the genes made it to me.

just because someone was a talented heavy duty MECHANIC, doesn't mean they know ELECTRICAL. I've got a friend who can take ANYTHING 'mechanical' 100% apart, rebuild an get her running, specially old farm equipment. When it comes to electrical, even simple battery-wire-switch-wire-light, ...he's 'lost'. Her always calls me...seeing how I program microcomputers for fun for the past 4 decades...
