That looks great. Thanks for sharing. Here's a quick look at it and how it comes.
Yes thinking about dumping the RTV-X now because it's not much faster then this setup. An ATV would probably be handier and more fun for the grandkids. This is nice having the ability to load and unload at different heights also. No tailgate, not really needed because heavy items like gravel need to be loaded towards the front and it only is good for 1600 pounds. It would probably get broken off easily when open if there was one. Still looking for other attachments, an offset flail mower, stump bucket, and tiller. It was an old Vette, 1985 with 29k miles that sat for 24 years in the barn. Was going to put it back on the road someday but found out that I couldn't get out of it anymore with the arthritis. Had to roll out onto the ground when I pulled it out for more tractor room in the barn. That was some sightThat looks great. Thanks for sharing.
Seems like no need for a SxS now unless want speed or ability to carry passenger. Also, it did not come with tailgate, correct? If not is that a concern or how will handle a T/G?
I currently use a wagon or carryall. The wagon has the ability to dump, but I have not yet added the cylinder. I wonder now a dump bed for tractor would be handier than additional ng the cylinder to the wagon?
I do wonder the conditions the vette if you sold the Bette and ended up with 2 titan attachments.(I am sorry I could not help myself…I am only busting your chops but sort of serious if you sold a vette for that…I am struggling with the math)
Sincerely, Thanks for sharing.
Never tried that. I always set it on a cart when removed. Ag style couplers usually bleed off pressure when disconnected and I can see how that could happen. When on the tractor I always have it connected to the remote and it's solid. I think flat face couplers hold the pressure when disconnected and may help if you're using it disconnected from the remote. Here's the boat cart I bought for storing itBought one of these and wanted to know about if your dump box tips with no hydraulic pressure applied. If it is disconnected from the tractor I can tip the box about 30 degrees. I can connect the hydraulic lines with the same result. When I pressurize the lines it lifts and drops the box normally. Do you see the same ability to tip the box when the lines aren't hooked up or pressurized? Thanks.
I would try another remote or flip the lines . If it was fairly new, I wonder if air could have been trapped in the lines. I haven't had that happen, but I have never had a load hanging out either. The reason I brought this up was the first time I used it to carry heavy wood blocks right to the back edge of the box it dumped the whole load out while transporting up a hill. The hydraulic lines were hooked up to the tractor but I don't remember if I cycled the dump box up and down. I tried once more and it did the same thing, this time I was sure I cycled the dump box to get pressure in the lines. It almost seemed like a pressure relief valve was activated. Haven't used it since for this job but I just tried bouncing my weight on the back of the box after cycling the hydraulics and it seemed rigid. Maybe if fixed itself but I'm done cutting wood til fall so I'll test it again then. It was real handy loading it with large blocks I can't handle getting into a higher trailer. The bucket doesn't hold much so with both the box and bucket loaded I can transport a larger amount of large blocks at a time.
I have had excellent luck with support from Titan. They actually have parts available for what they sell. MechMaxx is the one that I am finding has zero parts and zero support.I contacted Titan about this issue and they guess that the hydraulic cylinder has some bad seals. They are sending me a replacement cylinder and hoses under warranty. I've read some instances of bad support from Titan but that is not the case with me.
I have actually ordered quite a few items from Titan (palletforks.com). Response and shipping has always been prompt.I have had excellent luck with support from Titan. They actually have parts available for what they sell. MechMaxx is the one that I am finding has zero parts and zero support.
