Yes there are Northern and Western Rednecks too. They differ in how they show respect to mom and apple pie.

I grew up in Australia. To “shout” is to by a round of drinks at the bar. And you take it in turns to buy your round and you announce it as “My Shout”.

Someone that always seems to manage to avoid their round weren’t liked very much..

The expression was “Bob/Bruce/Mary wouldn’t even shout if a shark bit em.”

if someone was lazy - “that boy wouldn’t even work in an iron lung”. <- that’s an oldie!

Are there Northern or Western rednecks? If so, how do they differ from the Southern rednecks?

I don’t really know as I’m not very well traveled. From my limited experiences in Kentucky, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and somewhere in the rural area outside Toronto area where my GPS failed me, the colloquialisms and accents vary a bit but the basic makeup seems to be pretty consistent.
